I have realised recently I now own way too many foundations but I have so many favourites. I still love drugstore and recently there are some amazing ones at affordable prices but sometimes you just can't go wrong with a splurge on a high end one. I find that high end foundations just have that luxury feel to them with better packaging and formulas.

If you're after a full coverage and matte foundation then this is the perfect one to go for and as the name suggests it gives the skin that filtered look. I was so desperate to get a bottle of this after trying out a tester and finally got one on the second Cult Beauty restock but it looks like all shades are now permanently in stock thankfully. This is a thick and creamy foundation that takes some getting used to applying but I find it works best with a damp beauty blender. After applying some setting powder my skin looks so flawless and have a semi matte finish that still looks radiant.

Another full coverage foundation and from this post you'll sense that this is my favourite coverage. This is 22% water based so it is quite light on the skin and lets my skin breath but still covers everything and stays in place all day. The shade I have in this is slightly too dark for me when i'm pale but works well when i'm tanned or in the summer. As this is so full coverage but water based a tiny amount goes a long way so the bottle will last for ages.

This is probably one of the most famous high end foundations with a good amount of coverage and serious staying power. This is my go to foundation for when I know it needs to be on for hours as this really doesn't budge and it even takes an intense cleanser to remove it. The formula applies smoothly with a semi matte finish.

I love this foundation but hate how expensive it is as I don't think I can justify buying it again. I would say this is a medium to full coverage depending on how much you apply but since it's a stick formula it can be built up. Once blended out on the skin it almost becomes weightless but still helps conceal and even out my skin tone.

This is more of a lightweight and natural coverage foundation so is perfect for everyday use as it adds a real glow to the skin. The texture of it is silky as the name would suggest and applies smoothly with a silky finish to the skin. This is oil free so it works well on my oily t-zone and doesn't end up looking shiny or greasy.

This has been a wow product for me and it's completely different to other CC creams I have tried as it is full coverage but still very natural. This is a hydrating serum so it doesn't cling to my dry patches but looks radiant and dewy on the skin. The formula and shade of this adapts to the rest of my skin amazingly and looks like my own skin but much more flawless.

  5. Your blog posts are so well described and detailed. I love to read them. I learned a lot from your posts. Recently, I am thinking of doing a makeup course. Have you seen makeup lesson by makeup artist ? I am thinking of doing this course. As I have seen her makeup earlier and did also from her, she can bring glam in regular faces. She is really talented and caring towards her clients and really helpful. Trains best makeup lesson in my opinion! And which shade you will recommend for NC25?
