RECENT BEAUTY HAUL | CHRISTMAS GIFTS, BLACK FRIDAY BUYS & MORE...

I love reading what others got for Christmas and although there is some controversy over these type of posts and some think they are bragging, I don't at all. I thought I would share some of the lovely gifts I got with some other recent buys in either the sales and Christmas deals there were going on in December. This will probably be the last of my beauty buys for a while as it gets closer to my new house being built and my money will be spent on buying furniture instead of makeup.

I have wanted to try Fenty Beauty ever since it came out and luckily I got a few bits for Christmas, I did want the foundation but I wasn't sure what shade I would be so that didn't go on my list. This contour/highlighter trio features a cream bronzer, concealer/highlight and an illuminator. I got the lightest shade as the medium one looked way too warm toned for me and the highlighter is a pretty shimmery silver shade.

This is definitely a more out there product from her range but I love highlighters and this one is nothing like I already own. Trophy Wife is a bright yellow gold shade is a creamy powder formula with a metallic gold shimmer to it. I like to use this as either a highlighter or on my eyes for a warm brown look.

I was so happy to get this as a Christmas gift and I have wanted to try these for the longest time and the minis are perfect to try different shades. I have used this a few times now and it can mixed wit foundation to add some shimmer, under foundation to help the skin glow or as a highlighter for a real pop.

This was one of my stocking fillers and it's a product I can't wait to try out. I have read a few YouTubers use this and it looked so interesting. Basically is a mask you apply and leave for 5-10 minutes and then remove it using the magnetic provided with tissue wrapped round it. It removes the mask without mess and also pulls away all the dead skin cells and impurities.

I got this bargain in M&S at half price for £14 so if you have a store locally i'd pop down there and see if they still have it. I hadn't tried Pixi eyeshadows before but so far i'm impressed, these are pigmented and buttery and blend well. The palette has lots of warm and earthy tones to creamy natural or dramatic looks.

I got both of these also in the M&S sale for £7 each and although on the Pixi website they are said to be powders I have used them as highlighters. The shades I got are London Lustre, a pale yellow gold, and Santorini Sunset, a warm golden peach. These give my skin a natural glow but you can really see the shimmer in the sunlight.

As soon as I seen this newbie from Jouer I had to have it and finally found it in stock on the Cult Beauty website. I love the Jouer lip toppers and this one is no different, its a holographic pearl pink shade that I think would be perfect on it's own or over a pink lip. These are also super moisturising on the lips.

I got this in Tarte's 12 days of Christmas deals but it is also now down to £14 in their sale. I ordered this as I recently lost my Tarte highlighter trio down the back of my built in furniture (long story) and this looked exactly like one of those shades. It's a golden champagne shade that gives a dewy glow to the skin.

This was another purchase in their 12 days of Christmas and I think I got it for around £25 which is amazing, since it contains 7 full size blushes and 1 highlighter that are magnetic so you can pop them out and into other magnetic palettes. I love the Tarte blushes formula and this had a great selection of shades to try.

I had actually already got this before ordered the blush book so I probably wouldn't have gotten both but they are slightly different shades and in a more handy travel size case. This one has found shades and are in the pink/orange theme with three mattes and one shimmer. The packaging on this is also gorgeous with a gold case and a purple embossed pattern.

This has been a game changer in my routine and one of the best concealers I have tried, I am also impressed with the size of the tube and applicator as you can cover a large area quicker. This is quite a thick formula but it really covers every last imperfect and uneven skin tone I have and especially my dark under eyes.

This was a Boots star buy I ordered just before Christmas and although I didn't really need it I couldn't resist this Glam Glow set and it had a few products in I really wanted to try. It includes mini versions of the glow setter setting spray, thirsty mud mask, supermud clearing treatment and glow starter illuminating moisturiser. I already owned the thirsty mud made and loved it for hydrating my skin and now the supermud mask helps clear my congested skin from overindulging at Christmas.

Jouer Mini Lip Sets

These were Black Friday buys for me but they were in the Cult Beauty and Beauty Bay sales this year so you may still be able to get them. I got the nudes and set and the lip toppers set and in each of them you get a mini version of their bestsellers so you can try out the shades before buying the full size.

Jouer Mini Highlighter Trios

Another of my Black Friday buys but I actually ended up wit both sets dues to a mishap with Cult Beauty. I was so excited to get this mini as I never use a full highlighter as I just have so many and you get to try more shades and spend less. Trio one included Citrine, Topaz and Rose Quatz and trio two included Skinny Dip, Ice and Rose Gold.

This was a bit of an impulse buy in Selfridges when I was sales shopping as i'd heard amazing things about it and I saw it there. I have heard that this is amazing coverage but still natural and lightweight looking which is everything I want. I haven't tried it properly yet so I can't give a full review but I definitely will soon.

What bits did you get for Christmas or in the sales?
