MAKEUP FAVOURITES FROM 2017

Is it just me or can no one else believe that 2017 is nearly over?! This year has been pretty incredible for makeup releases and products I have finally tried out but my bank balance simply wouldn't let me try everything I wanted. This post is a round up of some of the products that have really wowed me this year.

This is my go to setting powder as it's one of the only ones that sets my concealer in place all day and doesn't budge. It's a really finely milled powder that looks seamless on the skin and doesn't give that cakey look. This is a translucent powder so it also doesn't alter the colour on your face.

This is one of those products that took the beauty world by storm and has been sold out in the UK pretty much constantly since it's release, I managed to get my shade in the second restock and I was so glad. This is a heavy coverage foundation but still very light and not at all heavy on the skin. The finish on this makes my skin look flawless and very much an Instagram filter like the name would suggest and the longevity of it is amazing.

These mini palettes from Huda caught my attention straight away as i've always wanted to try her eyeshadows but they are quite expensive. In these palettes you get 9 eyeshadows but they are all full size. I have the Smokey, Mauve and Warm Brown Obsessions palettes and they are all get little palettes with shades that complement each other. The pigmentation of these eyeshadow is pretty incredible and they blend so well.

Ever since I got this I use it everyday and I don't usually do that as I like to switch my makeup up but this literally covers my dark circles in seconds. The pot formula is creamy to apply but not heavy and covers everything, drying down matte so it doesn't crease but I do always set with a powder.

Despite the hefty price tag this is a product I would buy again and again and I have even just covered my mum to it. This is a full coverage foundation that evens out my skin tone but still looking and feeling natural and light on the skin. The formula is quite greasy so you do need to set with a good powder but once thats done I find it lasts all day.

I have the mini version of these from their holiday sets and i'm so happy I got to try multiple shades but I will definitely buy the full size when I run out of the minis. These glitters are so pretty and intense that I get so many compliments when I wear them. These a liquid formula that dry down and last all day and can be worn on their own or on top of eyeshadow.

This is the best products I have found for contouring and getting those perfect chiselled cheek bones. This is a highly pigmented powder in a cool toned bronze shade that stays in place all day. This is a sheer powder that can be built up depending on the look you want.

I'm a highlighter addict and I have added quite a few to my collection but these Jouer ones are the ones that amazed me and look incredible on my skin. I have the large version of Rose Quartz that is a shimmering champagne pink that is best for paler skin tones. These have quite an intense shimmer so if you want subtle it's not for you but I love it.

This is a relatively new addition to my collection but I have been amazed so far and it could rival the Nars one. I haven't tried a cream concealer before that gives as good coverage as this one and it literally covers my dark circles straight away. The tube of this is also a good size and hopefully it wont run out too soon.

If you read my last post you will see I have expanded my Tarte blush collection quite considerably recently wit two new palettes. These blushes are some of my favourites as they are pigmented but not too much and give that pretty flushed look. The clay formula also lasts all day and helps control oil.

I have quite a few shades of these and they are one of my favourite formulas of liquid lipsticks. These have quite a watery formula but that makes it lightweight on the lips and dries down completely matte. I find that these last a good amount of time and dont need constant reapplication.

This dupe for the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara makes my lashes look incredible and is half the price of the TF one. It has a fluffy fibre brush that coats all lashes and gives that wispy look. The formula of this is oil based so it hydrates lashes but dries enough to keep the lashes looking full and volumised all day.

I'm so glad I have finally tried this best seller from Tarte as its not a favourite of mine and I already have a back up. This is another fluffy brush that grabs every lash and curls it and keeping it like that all day.

This has been another wow product for me and one I use all the time. This is an illuminating product that actually has a shimmer running through it so it can help your skin glow in the sunlight. I also love this as it's such a light mist instead of a spray as it doesn't leave water marks on your face. This keeps my makeup locked in place all day.

This is a dedication to all the eyeshadow palettes CP have released this year and I have quite a large collection of these now. The palettes they have released have such a gorgeous selection of shades and each one is themed differently. The formula of the eyeshadows is a good amount of pigment and the shimmers are so buttery and smooth to apply. Some of my fave palettes are I Think I Love You, You Had Me At Hello and Golden State of Mind.

I have finally tried these out and they are just as good as I expected. These are intensely pigmented liquid lipsticks that dry down completely matte and stay in place really well. These are quite matte so I have to wear a balm underneath but they look so good on the lips.

What have your favourites from 2017 been?
