I don't do these posts often as I sometimes find myself using the same products over and over when I find favourites. I have added quite a few new bits to my makeup collection recently and some have turned out to be stand out products. This post features some new releases and some old favourites I am rediscovering.
You will see I have mentioned these palettes a few times on my blog recently and they are the most perfect little palettes. The smokey is a favourite of mine as I love a cool toned eye and this collection of browns, champagnes, silvers create a softer everyday look or a more sultry evening look. These eyeshadows are so pigmented and blend well together. There are 9 shades in either a matte, satin or foil effect.
Another new release from Huda Beauty and this has taken the beauty world by storm and sold out almost instantly both times it has been released onto Cult Beauty. I got mine the second time around but I had tried a sample when I got an order from CB and was already impressed. It's a very full coverage foundation that is unlike any I have ever tried before, it takes some application to the skin and I get the best finish if blended in with a damp beauty blender. It dries down matte but I do have to set mine is certain areas so it doesn't crease and the longevity is incredible. When I wear this I can't believe how flawless my skin looks and as the name would suggest almost like you have a filter one, I can see the becoming my new favourite full coverage foundation.
Another sell out on Cult Beauty but you can now find this on ASOS. I picked mine up after hearing Leanne from LPage Beauty go on about this a lot on her blog. Korean beauty is massive in the UK now and they seem to nail every product I try. This is a silicone based primer that smoothes over my skin and hides all pores and creates the perfect base for my foundation. The formula also creates a barrier on the skin to protect from the harsh elements from sinking into the skin.
This is a rediscovery for me and I am now obsessed with it again. This is more wet formula of the original Lash Sensational with a fan like brush to help coat every lash. I love layering this over another mascara for added volume and definition. The formula of this makes the lashes look intense and luscious and it leaves lashes soft and dense when the mascara had been removed.
I have been using this everyday now as I love it as a base mascara to give my lashes length and then add another on top for volume. This has a tapered bristle style brush that really grabs every lash and coats it with the nourishing formula. This helps lengthen my lashes and keep the curl in place after using eyelash curlers.
I finally caved on Black Friday and ordered a few of the ABH liquid lipsticks as they had 40% off, I went for Pure Hollywood as its one of the shades I heard of lot of people go on about. It's a pale mauve nude that looks really natural on my lips. These are very much a matte finish and if you layer on to much product it can feel quite drying and end up looking patchy. I have to wear a balm under mine to stop my lips from drying out but the longevity is pretty good.
This is another BF buy that had 40% off and I have been so impressed with this. I'm not normally a glass wearing but i'm getting more into them lately and I love super pigmented ones. This one is exactly that, it isn't sheer like some can be and is almost like a liquid lipstick with a glossy finish. Butterscotch is a neutral peachy beige that is the perfect nude shade for me.
I have finally repurchased this after using other pomades for a while but none of them come close to this. This is a creamy wax formula that glides on smoothly defining my brows and filling them in just enough. The formula is long lasting and doesn't smudge throughout the day meaning my brows look flawless from morning to night.
With the recent snow and icy white highlighter is perfect and this one from Laura Geller is so pretty. I love her illuminators as they has the more gorgeous shimmer running through them and really stand out on the skin. Diamond Dust is an icy white shade with an iridescent pink shimmer running through it.
Have you tried out any of these products recently?

I also took advantage of the ABH Black Friday sale - they had such good discounts on! I bought a couple of their standard lipsticks rather than the liquid ones, but would really like to try their liquid lipsticks too. The DipBrow Pomade is one of my go-to brow products - it's fab!
