SUMMER FAVOURITES

I used to do a favourites post every month but the past few just haven't seem to have happened, mainly because I have been so busy lately I just haven't been on top of my blogging and also I found that finding lots of favourites every month was hard. Instead I have decided to do a summer round up post as it seems like summer is officially over and I thought it was time to share the products I have loved over the last few months.

I really liked the original CP bronzers but because of the mousse like texture I find them not the most easy to apply so I was happy to see they had brought out powder ones. Afternoon Delight is a mid tonal golden bronze shade with a matte finish.

I wasn't sure about this foundation at first but I really like that it can built up to fuller coverage and it doesn't end up feeling heavy on the skin. This has quite a watery texture which is probably why it can be built up and still feel light weight. The coverage of this is light with the first layer and gives a natural radiant finish.

I kind of bought this on a whim and didn't expect much from it but as i've said before its the best concealer i've tried. I don't normally like potted concealers but this isn't heavy or cakey like others can be and although its matte it doesn't dry out my delicate eye area. I find that this hides my dark circles and doesn't wear off throughout the day, so it's definitely a winner for me.

When this was released I knew it was right up my street and needed it but I didn't buy it until a few weeks ago and i've been loving it every since. This is the ultimate glitter eyeshadow palette in a gorgeous selection of silvers, golds and greys that make the perfect addition to any eye look. My favourites are definitely Star Light, Skinny Dip and Tan Lines.

I love The Balm for their highlighters but this bronzer has really wowed me recently and I use it a lot. Compared to the CP one in this most its more of a cooler neutral toned bronzer shade in a matte finish. I find that this is perfect for contouring and really enhances my cheek bones.

I loved the foundation of this so I was happy to see that they had bought out a powder and it really it amazing and gives such a radiant look on the skin. This contains a pan split into two with one side a shimmer powder and one with more of a satin finish. I really like this as it reduces shine, locks in my makeup and helps my skin glow.

I had to pick this up after hearing people say it was a good dupe for the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and it definitely is, I even think I might prefer this. It has the fat fluffy fibre brush like TF but the formula is a little more wet so I find it coats my lashes more and looks more volumised. The formula also contains castor oil so help enrich lashes and keep them feather soft.

I've been on the hunt for a new brow pomade ever since my ABH one finished and this one is definitely a favourite. It's not as creamy as the ABH one and is more of a wax formula so it doesn't glide on as smoothly but I still find it fills my brows in nicely and stays in place all day. The good thing about these is that they have quite a few blonde shades which I normally find other pomades don't come in.

I've been experimenting more with glitter on my looks and everyone raves about Lit so I had to pick some up at the IMATS. My favourites are Champagne Wishes, an iridescent silvery gold that really pops on the eyes, and Addicted, one of their liquid metals that created the most gorgeous metallic look, this is a silvery copper shade.

I have a lot hate relationship with matte liquid lipsticks as I love the look but they can dry my lips out, I have found that these are so matte but really not drying. A thin layer gives a good pop of colour and they don't wear away too easily. I have two shades but I'm definitely picking up more of these!

I have this in Gilded Honey and Ballerina and they are both gorgeous but this one really stood out as it was so different. This is an ice white silver shade with a pink iridescent shimmer that is so pretty in the light. These are more of a glow rather than a shimmer so it so it can be nice and natural.

What have been your summer favourites?

  2. The Jouer Skinny Dip palette looks gorgeous! I haven't ever really experimented with glitter on my eyes, but I feel like they would make a good transition between shimmer and glitters. A summer favourite for me has got to be the Charlotte Tilbury Penelope Pink lipstick Xx

  3. I also recently got the jouer skinny dip palette and I adore it, the shadows are so unique in formula and give a gorgeous extra umpfh to any basic looks. I also love the new nars concealer, but I do wish it wasn't in a pot because I have to use a flat brush to scoop it out because of my nails hahaha
