NEW IN | BEAUTY

Over the past couple of months I have either picked some new products to try or luckily been sent some to try so I thought they were worthy of a blog post. Some of these products are new releases and others are ones I have only recently discovered.

I have tried a few products from Joan Collins Beauty but the foundation and concealer really caught my attention and I was excited to be able to test them out. The foundation is described as a youth promoting skincare and foundation in one, it evens out the complexion, helps the skin radiate and helps increase collagen for a fuller fresher complexion. I would say this is medium coverage with a glowing finish and I actually really rate this and found that it lasted all day. For the concealer the shade is slight too dark for me so I can't use it under my eyes to brighten but its okay for blemishes on my fave, it isn't the best coverage but the light reflecting particles help my skin glow.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and I'm so obsessed, I normally go for translucent powders but this one perfectly matches my skin tone and evens out my complexion. The compact basically has two powders in, one with a satin finish and one with a shimmer to it that can either be used on its own as a highlight or mixed together and use all over to help the skin glow, I tend to do the latter.

I wasn't so sure about these as I'm not usually a fan of a metallic lip but these are so much like metal and more have a slight shimmer to it. I have the shades Smoldering Eclipse, a deep purple and Liquid Venom, an intense red.

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow Metallics | £8.99*

I really hope these arrived in the UK as I'm so obsessed, unfortunately one of mine arrived broken but the gold shade I still have is so pretty. These are super pigmented with a foil finish, I would say these are almost like a liquid metal eyeshadow but in powder form.

NYX Total Control Drop Foundation | £14.00

I have been wanting to try this for ages after getting shade matched the IMATs a few months ago and finally got it using my Boots points. This foundation allows you to adjust the covers you want from a sheer natural look to a fuller coverage. The formula of this is very watery so it works well with the dropper and I find that it works well for me being able to build up how much coverage I want.

Illamasqua Sculpting Powder Duo | £29.00

This was one of my bargain TK Maxx finds and I'm sure I only paid around £10. I really love contour duo compacts as they are so handy for travelling. The contour shade in this looked quite light compared to what I normally use but actually translated to be darker on my skin and was very pigmented. The highlighter isn't as intense or shimmer as i'd like but its nice for a natural glow.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Matte Lipcolour | £6.99*

This is one drugstore lipstick I haven't really tried but after using these for a while I'm a big fan. They are matte but still creamy and very pigmented, although the wear time isn't the best. I have two shades, Sterpiece, a pinkish nude and Matte-R, an intense red. I can't seem to find these on any UK websites but you will definitely find similar shades.

Makeup Forever Excessive Lash Mascara | £19.00 and Smokey Stretch Mascara | £19.00

These are some more of my TK Maxx finds and I think they were both £7.99 so really great compared to their retail price in Debenhams, you definitely need to get down to TK Maxx and check out their makeup range. The Excessive lash mascara has a fluffy brush that helps give lots of volume and those fluttery lashes and the Smokey Stretch is a plastic brush that helps coat every lash and lengthen.

3INA Cream Eyeshadow | £8.95*, Longerwear Lipstick | £7.95* and The Highlighter 201 | £10.95*

This is a brand I've have been wanting to try more from for ages and I was excited to be able to try out some of their bestselling products. The cream eyeshadow is a gorgeous bronze shade that is rich and pigmented but it dries matte so it doesn't wear away at all of smudge. The liquid lipstick, or what I tried to open like a normal lipstick and almost broke, is an intense red shade, I haven't worn it for a prolonged period so can't comment too much but its very pigmented and dries matte. Finally the highlighter is a gorgeous bronzey gold, that gives more of a dewy look rather than an intense shimmer.

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation | £5.90

I have been waiting for this for what feels like forever and it finally arrived this week so I have been using it a few times. This promises to be a very pigmented and full coverage foundation but doesn't have that heavy makeup look. I did expect this to be of a thicker consistency but its quite runny and at first it wasn't as full coverage as I would like but with a bit extra it did give a good amount of coverage. I have to say its not my favourite foundation and I also went for the shade with gold highlights in it but I can't really see anything. I have the serum one on the way too so I will probably give a full review one i've tried both.

L'Oreal Paradise Mascara | £9.99

This has just been released and as soon as I heard someone mention that its the best dupe for the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara I had to get. If you have tried the TF one and then look at the brush of this they are pretty much identical, that fluffy bristle in an hourglass shade. I am so impressed with this and I would say its as good, if not better than the TF one so I would suggest going and buying now.

Models Own One Night Stand Nail Polish | £14.99

The mirror nail trend is big at the moment but most polishes I have tried didn't give that desired effect so you need to head to a salon for it does professionally, however, this solves that problem. I won this in a contest on their Instagram and have actually had gel on my nails since so haven't been ablate try, but once I do I will report back. This is a silver mirrored effect with the polish and a base/top coat, I do hope they bring out other colours.

Have you picked up any of these beauty products?
