GLOW GIVING MAKEUP

So it seems like summer is pretty much over and it may seem like it's the time for berry lips and autumnal eye looks. However, no matter what time of year it is I always love a glowing makeup look. I mention it all the time but highlighter is definitely my favourite beauty product, I own way too many and there are always new ones I need. Other glow giving products I love are an illuminating primer, glowing foundation and highlighting concealers.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation | £32.00

If I want a real glowing look then foundation plays a key part and the Nars Sheer Glow is my favourite for achieving that. It's medium coverage and really not sheer as the name would suggest and really stays in place. The finish is dewy and radiant but it also doesn't end up looking shiny or greasy. This also helps keep the skin hydrated and stops any dry patches forming.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter | £32.00

I really don't use this product enough but when I do it gives the most amazing dewy glow to my skin. This is pretty much described as an Instagram filter for you skin and although I don't think it makes my skin look that flawless its still great and brightens up a dull complexion. It contains a blend of crushes pearls that help give a luminous glow and the skin can glow from within.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Powder | $12.99*

It really sucks that this isn't available in the UK but I hope they bring it out. This is basically a highlighter and powder in one compact, it is split in to a satin finish powder and one with a more intense shimmer, they can be worn separately or together. I like to use both of mine together to give my skin an all over glow. I like this as it locks in my foundation, prevents shine and adds some glow.

MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish | £24.50

This highlighter is one of my all time favourites and I need to add more shades to my collection. This powder highlighter is designed to add definition to your face with prismatic reflections. I have Double Gleam which is a silver champagne shade with pink reflects to it so it catches the light and really shines. I find these have just the right amount of shimmer for an everyday dewy glow but can be built up for a more intense look.

Benefit Watts Up! | £25.50

This is another product that needs to be shown some love in my makeup collection but I'm thinking this will be perfect for my holiday to just swipe some highlighter on quickly. This is a soft bronzey champagne in a cream to powder finish. This is definitely one of those dewy looks as it doesn't really contain any actually shimmer. It comes with product at one end and then a sponge at the other to blend but I prefer to do it with my fingers or beauty blender.

Huda Beauty 3D Highlight Palette | £40.00

This palette by the ultimate makeup queen contains everything you need to sculpt and highlight your face to perfection. I have Pink Sands which is more for the paler skin tones, it contains a cream sculpting shade, two highlighters and a blush shade. I love this as the shades can all be worn together or used separately depending on the look you are after. I definitely need to get my hands on the Golden Sands edition for my holiday when my skin is more tanned.

Estee Edit Flash Illuminator | £18.50

I'm kind of update they are discontinuing this range from September as I really loved the products, but I did stock up when they recently had a mini sale and I got some bits when I last visited Bicester Village (expect a haul post soon). However, this liquid highlighter is very similar to others out there, like MAC Strobe Cream or there is a Seventeen liquid highlighter. This is a silver shimmer than can be applied under makeup, with makeup or on top depending on the look you are going for. I like to apply this as a base to add a luminous glow and then a lightweight foundation on top so it can shine through.

YSL Touch Eclat | £25.00

This is the ultimate brightening concealer and I use it on my cheeks and forehead where it needs brightening. This is necessarily shimmery or glowing but it has tiny light particles that help the skin glow and especially in the sunlight. This is full coverage enough for me to use as a proper concealer but its good to bright certain areas.

MAC Prep + Prime Skin | £21.50

I bought this after seeing one of my friends use it and I was amazed about how nice it made her skin look and the radiance it gave. I have the one that seems to have a shimmer running through it so it gives lots of glow to my skin. This is a gel like formula that evens out my complexion and smooths out the skin to give the perfect base to apply my foundation.

Jouer Powder Highlighter | £19.00

I'm so impressed with this highlighter and I would actually pay more than £19 for it as it beat some other more expensive ones I have. This is quite an intense shimmer so its not for those that want something subtle but I love it. I have Rose Quartz, which as you may guess is a pretty rose pink shade that is different to my usual champagne and gold favourites. It has a velvet texture that blends seamlessly into the skin.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector | £34.00

I actually have a mini of this that I got in a set but I can't seem to find that online so i've linked the full size version. This comes in a tube format with a sponge applicator so its great for on the go and topping up highlighter if it fades. I have Opal, which is a golden toned peach shade. As this is liquid it is very much the dewy finish and glow from within look.

Topshop Glow Pot | £9.00

This is definitely the ultimate holiday glow product and I always take this away with me to use on my tanned skin (towards the end of the holiday obviously). I like to use this as a base for my highlighter and then add a powder on top to give a real pop of shimmer. With this being as shimmery as it is you only need a small amount so my pot looks barely used even though it definitely is.

What are your favourite glowing products?
