BRAND FOCUS | NYX

It's time for another brand focus on my blog and I thought this American drug store deserved a big mention. Nyx has only recently come to the UK in the past 18 months after Boots, ASOS, Feel Unique and now Cult Beauty started stocking the brand. This is probably more at the higher end of drug store makeup but still very much affordable and good quality products.

This is one of my fave Nyx products and I really need to add more shades to my collection. I love the ombre effect and that you do get effectively two shades in the compact. The formula of this is quite powdery so there is a bit of fall out. Another good thing about these is the size of the actual product so I know it will last me ages.

Dark circles are my biggest hate but this helps solve that issue. I tend to apply this before my foundation and then after foundation I will add a brightening concealer. The peach shade of this helps minimise the blueness of my under eyes. This consistency of this product isn't too thick or heavy and glides on well, it also contains coconut oil to help keep that delicate area moisturised.

Wonder Stick | £10.50

I find these contour stick duos so handy and quick to apply. I like to cream contour my face to give it some dimension and don't always have time to use a proper cream contour kit. This has one end as a contour and one as a highlighting cream, it doesn't have any shimmer to it but just brightens my skin.

Liquid Suede | £7.00

Nyx definitely do an amazing liquid lipstick collection and the Liquid Suedes are definitely the more out there shade selection compared to the like of the soft matte lip creams or lip lingeries. These are quite a heavy consistency and dry very matte on the lips so I have to wear a balm underneath. I love the bright colours in the collection and especially this vibrant orange.

Total Control Drop Foundation | £14.00

This is a new release by Nyx and I'm loving it so much. It's one of those light weight and water based foundations but gives amazing coverage due to the pigmentation. You can also build this up depending on the coverage you want so only a small amount will give a natural look but more will give a full coverage. The matte finish of this also helps keep shine at bay and my doesnt end up looking oily.

Soft Matte Lip Cream | £6.00

These are definitely my favourite lip product from Nyx and I have quite a few shades but need more. What I love about these is the mousse texture that is really lightweight and comfortable on the lips. It has a matte finish but still very creamy and doesn't dry my lips out. They also aren't as pigmented as other liquid lipsticks but give more of a natural look.

Butter Gloss | £5.50

This is a lip product I like to pair with the soft matte lip cream to add a little gloss but they are also great on their own. There are quite a lot of shade again like the lip creams but the glossy version and very pigmented.

Lip Lingerie Lipstick | £7.00

This collection is basically a nude lip lovers dream as it has so many different neutral lip colours for every need and skin tone. The formula of this is thinner and more weightless compared to the liquid suede. However, I find these are more comfortable to wear than the liquid suedes.

Tame and Frame Tinted Brow Pomade | £6.00

I bought this as a dupe for the ABH DipBrow but it really didn't live up to that unfortunately. I found this pomade to be more of a waxy formula so it didn't glide on to my brows like I wanted it to. I do keep preserving with this but it just doesn't seem to work for me.

What are you Nyx favourites?
