SUNKISSED HIGHLIGHTERS

If you know me or read my blog or social media you will know I'm a massive highlighter addict and its one of the main products I couldn't live with out. I feel like my face would look flat and unfinished without so I have amassed a pretty big collection. Todays post is all about those bronze and gold shades that are perfect for tanned skin during summer.

Ofra Blissful Highlighter | £20.00

Rodeo Driver by Ofra is one of my all time favourite highlighters but this one is much more suitable for summer with its warmer rose gold tone to it. These are very pigmented and an intense shimmer, so you only need a small amount. These are a finely milled formula that have an almost buttery formula to it. I like to use this not only on my cheeks but also on my eyes as an inner corner highlight.

MAC Whisper of Guilt Highlighter | £24.50 (similar linked)

Unfortunately this seems to be a seasonal line that only comes out at Christmas, but hopefully it will be back again this year. I have linked their Extra Dimension Skinfinish as they have some gold shades that are similar. Whisper of Guilt is a warm yellow gold that gives a really dewy finish. It's not a pigmented as other but that is nice when I don't want something too intense.

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator | £21.00

This has been a favourite of mine for a while and its small size means its perfect to take away and not take up too much room or weight. This is very similar the the MAC one I just talked about but probably a little warmer with more intense shimmer. These also have a lovely swirl patter in the pan much like an ice cream swirl.

Topshop Glow Pot in Gleam | £10.00

I'm not normally a fan of cream highlighter but this Topshop one is so dreamy and perfect for a dewy glow on tanned skin in summer. This is a golden champagne shade that really pops on the skin. I like to apply this as a base and then a powder highlighter on top to make it pop and keep it in place all day.

Topshop Horizon Highlighter | £12.00

This is quite a dark highlighter for me and I tend to use it all over my face when I have a tan to give a subtle glow. When swatched this is more of a golden bronze but on my skin it has a warmer brown tone to it with a shimmer. I've actually almost finish my first pan of this so I think i'll be ordering a new one soon.

I did think this was discontinued but I have found it online in the above link. This is one of my favourite highlighters I have found on the high street and its very much a dupe of the Colourpop ones, which if you don't know are hard to get hold of in the UK. This shade is a gold shade but leans more towards the bronze end of the spectrum so I do need more of a tan to wear this.

These are so amazing for drugstore and one of the biggest highlighters I think I've ever owned and only for £5. Golden Kiss is a pale yellow gold that really suits my skin tone and gives a sun kissed glow that catches the light. I actually really rate the formula of these too, they are pigmented but not too much.

Obviously this cult classic has to be included in this post as its such a gorgeous peachy bronze shade in a lovely baked formula. The baked formula of this means its velvety soft on the skin but I do find there is a bit of fall out in the pan. I find that this is quite a subtle highlight but still noticeable and gives my skin a warm glow.

I tend to use this one as a contour base on my skin as its quite dark and doesn't suit me as a highlighter. The shimmer works really well on my skin and adds some warmth to wear I'll add a powder bronzer. As its a cream formula I tend to apply using my fingers and maybe blend with a stippling brush. This is also good to use on my eyes as a base for eyeshadow or on its own.

I wasn't so sure about these at first as I didn't find it to be intense enough for what I like in a highlighter, but I now prefer to use this for everyday use as its more subtle and dewy. Dayglow is a soft pale gold and gives that sun kissed glow.

What highlighters will you be reaching for this summer?
