So i'm finally back blogging after having a week off, which I think was needed although I also did not have the time to actually get any done. My job has changed slightly recently and over the past few weeks I have been away one or two nights and then working late on others, my weekends have also been full with family visiting so blogging was put on the back burner. I thought I would start back with an updated FOTD as I haven't done one in a while and i've discovered lots of new products.
For my base I am loving The Ordinary High-Adherance Silicone Primer (£3.90) to help keep my makeup in place for a pro longed period. This is also really hydrating on my skin but not at all greasy so my foundation doesn't end up looking shiny. On to my foundation and the LA Girl Pro Coverage Illuminating Foundation (£10.99) is my current go to as I love the coverage and finish it gives. It is more on the full coverage side but I don't find it heavy or cakey even in the hot weather, and I find the finish is so flawless.
The Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer (£23.00) is probably one of my favourite products of 2017 so far and everything i've been looking for in a concealer. I was apprehensive at first as I thought it would be heavy under my eyes and not so sure on the matte factor as I thought it would dry my skin out, but this is so good its full coverage but still very thin on the skin and the matte finish means there is no need for a setting powder. I tend to use this just under my eyes so the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (£8.99) is what I like to use on my forehead and chin, its quite watery so very light on the skin but with good coverage and brightens.
To set my base in place I have been using the new L'Oreal Pro Glow Powder ($12.99)* and its so lovely and brightening on the skin. Its very similar to the infallible matte powder but this has two shades in the pan, one satin finish and one with a shimmer to it, I swirl them together to give my skin a glowing look. I don't think this is available in the UK at the moment but I'm hoping they bring it over along with the foundation and new concealer.
To give some warmth to my skin I use the Nars Laguna Bronzer (£29.00), it has a slight shimmer to it so helps my skin glow with a bronzed look. I apply this lightly to my cheeks and the follow with a deeper contour shade. The Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder (£35.00) is my favourite for giving my cheeks that chiseled look. Now on to my favourite part of my makeup and thats highlight, I tend to use a different one everyday as I have quite a few and love them all but recently the Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter in Cotton Candy Cream ($22.00) has been a favourite. This is a very pale pink and gives more of a dewy glow than an intense shimmer but I like that for everyday use. For the final touch to my face I add a hint of blusher, I don't like anything too intense and the Estee Edit The Barest Blush (£14.00) is a lovely summer shade with a tiny bit of shimmer to it, it's quite pigmented so I am careful with how much I put on my brush.
Onto the one part I tend not to leave the house without and thats filling in my brows, my beloved ABH DipBrow has now finished and I'm trying to use my other products before repurchasing. The Benefit Ka-Brow! Eyebrow Cream Gel-Colour (£20.00) is said to be very similar to the DipBrow but I don't find it to be as creamy and its more waxy so not as smooth to apply. However, its growing on me more and it stays in place a lot better than the DipBrow did.
The Tarte Maneater Eyeshadow Palette (currently unavailable) is what I'm using a lot currently and it has the perfect 7 eyeshadow shades for a warm smokey eye, with browns, golds and creams. I find the Tarte eyeshadows to be so pigmented but blend really well and last all day. Lashes are another important part of my routine and along with brows I probably wouldn't leave the house without mascara on. I like to use the Maybelline Push Up Angel Mascara (£7.99) first to give my lashes length, it doesn't give as much volume as I would like so this is why I use another on top. The new L'Oreal Paradise Mascara (£9.99) is honestly amazing and a great dupe for the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, it has a fluffy brush that coats every lash and gives lots for volume.
The last steps in my makeup are always lipstick and then a spritz of setting spray. For everyday makeup I stick to nude lips and the Maybelline Nude Embrace (£6.99) is the perfect matte finish but still creamy and comfortable to wear. The shade is a cool toned coffee shade that looks natural. As I said the final touch is a setting spray and the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray (£10.00) is perfect for locking my makeup in place and keeping oil and shine at bay, I love this as its a really lightweight mist.
Are any of these products in your current FOTD?

I'm also using and loving the KA Sculpting powder and Nars concealer, they're both amazing and worth the price tag. I can't wait to try the lash paradise, the TF better than sex is my holy grail, go to mascara that I cannot live without, so if I can get the exact same results for half the price, that would be fabuuuuuulous.
