FACE PALETTES YOU NEED

I kind of have an obsession with buying palettes and its normally eyeshadow palettes but recently I have added more and more face palettes to my collection. You'll have heard me mention this before but I am a huge highlighter addict and a palette full of them is the best, so there will be lots in this post but also other contour and blush picks too.

BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette | £48.00

Unfortunately this isn't available any more but I'm sure all of these are available in singles. It features of course the famous Champagne Pop highlighter which is a peachy champagne, Prosecco Pop, a new golden shimmer. The three blushes are Rose Spritz, a luminous pinky rose that limited edition, Amaretto, a bronzed mauve pink and Pamplemousse, a bright coral. This is so perfect for travelling as it gives you a good selection of blushes and highlights in a formula that I love, they are finely milled and buttery to apply.

This is a dreamy palette and not only for the contents but that gorgeous marble packaging as well is so aesthetically pleasing. This includes face powders, bronzers, blushers and a highlighter. It's their second holiday release and this time is only 5 different products instead of the 6 in last years. My favourites are Surreal Light an illuminating powder, Surreal glow a peony pink marble effect blush and Surreal Effect a pop of pink blush. These are also a finely milled formula but more powdery than buttery.

Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit | £39.00

Another one that isn't available any more unfortunately but I'm sure some of the shades in here are similar to other glow kits. This is a selection of pinks, golds and bronze highlight shades in the amazing ABH formula. What I love about these is that the shimmer is so intense and pops so much in the sunlight. Glo Getter, a golden shimmer and Forever Lit, a iridescent white are my favourites from the palette.

This only contains a highlight and bronze shades but its such an amazing palettes and one I always take with me if I'm travelling. The highlighter is a soft muted gold that really adds a subtle glow and the contour shade is a soft chocolate brown that isn't too dark or harsh on my skin tone. The contour shade has a very subtle pearlescent tint to it that really helps the skin glow.

As soon as I heard Huda was releasing a highlight palettes I just had to get it as she is the queen of makeup. This one is a little different as its 4 shades that can be used together to perfectly sculpt and highlight the face. It contains one cream formula and 3 powders, the cream is a light bronze to apply as a base, two highlight shades and a blush shade. I have the Pink Sands edition that is for light to medium skin tones but I would definitely pick up the Golden Sands for more golden bronze options.

This is such a cult classic that I think everyone needs it in their collection. Its the classic contour kit of 3 contour shades and 3 brightening shades, I like have different options of contour for when I'm more or less tanned. Although this is nothing too stand out I think its an essential in everyones makeup bag.

This is so amazing and an amazing price too. This palette features 6 highlighter shades, ranging from pale golds, to powder pinks and shimmering bronzes. These aren't as intense as some others but give a gorgeous dewy glow on my skin. I would definitely say there are shades in here for every skin tone or I have been using some of them even as eyeshadows.

This is another one of those perfect palettes to travel with as you get two highlight shades and a contour shade. This is a favourite of mine for the amazing cocoa smell that is has and almost makes you want to eat it! The highlighters are a pearlescent shimmer and a golden shimmer, whilst the contour is a matte chocolate shade.

Final one and something a little different from the rest as it a blush palette and Nars definitely do some of the best blushes about. This one is a collection of pinks and peaches and works more for paler skin tones or those who don't like an intense colour. This also has amazing pink mirrored packaging that is much better than the standard black Nars packaging.

Do you love any of these face palettes?

  4. I don't actually own many face palettes, my only one being the cheekathon palette but Benefit but I toyed around with the idea of that Nars blusher palette so much, it just has such a good variety of shades for all time of the year! xx

  5. I don't have any of these but I'm sad I missed out on the Jaclyn Hill x Becca palette. ABH glow kits are awesome, I have two of them and this one is on my list! As well the NARS palette.
