So I posted a review The Ordinary products not so long ago (here), however, I have expanded my collection quite considerably since then so I thought another post was deserving. This brand has taken the beauty world by storm and pretty much everyone has tried and tested the products, their new foundation even has a waiting list of around 75,000 i've heard. Anyway as I said before these are affordable skincare items that let the ingredients do the talking and don't make ridiculous promises.
I ordered this one as i'd heard quite a few people rave about it so had to try it. This acid found in grains and naturally produced by yeast that lives on the skin, it's known to brighten the skin and reduce the look of blemishes. I have been using this on and off and although I can't notice anything too dramatic it does feel nice on my skin and doesn't do any harm.
After reading that this was amazing at targeting blemished and improving the look of congested skin I had to get it, as at the time I had a huge spot taking over my face. Although its a very high percentage it doesn't feel harsh on my skin and I have to say after starting using the spot did appear to go down.
I'd read Leanne from LPage Beauty rave about this I just had to get it to help combat some of the dryness my skin tends to get. I find the formula of this to be a light and fluffy cream that applied lovely to my skin and sinks in quickly but still hydrating. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid which is know for its hydrating properties.
One of my biggest issues is dark and puffy under eyes and this promise to combat just that so it was a must. The lightweight serum sinks into my skin quickly and I have to say the puffiness is definitely reduced. I can't comment on my dark circles yet but I am continuing to use in the hope they will disappear.
One of the more expensive items they do but again i'd heard a few people mention how good this was. This contains next-generation retinoid that is know to combat the signs of ageing without irritation. This has a milky texture that sinks into my skin quickly but does leave a slight sticky residue.
I really rated their Fluid primer and this one was mentioned in the press as being amazing so I had to try. It's quite a thick formula but applies smoothly and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I have found that is blurs out my imperfections and creating a smooth and matte base for my foundation. I would say its a tough competition but this and the fluid primer but the latter just wins for me.
Have you tried any of these The Ordinary products?!
xo
I've been wanting to try some products from The Ordinary for a while now, but I am yet to take the plunge. The caffeine solution definitely sounds like something I need to try.
