So another month is over and that means it's time for another favourites post. I say this every month but this year is going so quick, although I am glad for the warmer weather coming up and the fact that holiday season starts - me and my boyfriend have just booked one for September and I am so excited. Anyway this months favourites is a mixture of makeup and skincare and most of it is new products I have picked up over the month.
Evoluderm Eau Micellaire Face Wipes (available at TK Maxx)*
I was kindly sent a range of products from this french skincare brand these wipes have surprised me. I'm such a bad beauty blogger as I always remove the bulk of my makeup with a makeup wipe, I do always use one or two cleansers after but I find the wipe is the best way to remove the bulk of my makeup and stops me from covering a muslin cloth in black eye makeup every night. I rarely deviate from my beloved Johnson's wipes as they don't make my skin react and remove majority of my makeup, however, these are probably just as good if not better. The wipes are quite wet which is always a good sign as those wipes that are almost dry do nothing for me. These are also very soothing on my skin and don't at all sting my eyes whilst removing all makeup, a cleansing is always needed after this to go rid of any residual but these do a pretty good job.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil | £24.00*
Lately I'm leaning more towards a cleansing oil to remove my makeup as it also adds some moisture to my skin. This one from DHC completely dissolves all of my residual makeup and dirt from the day, and even when you think everything has been removed this product still manages to remove the bits you missed. This also contains olive oil which is rich in anti-oxidants and will have nourish your complexion. You only need a tiny amount in your palm to massage all over your face so I know this will last forever as well.
Weleda Skin Food | £10.95
This is my go to products for when my skin needs some real TLC and i'm suffering with dry skin. In my opinion and lots of others this is one of skincare's best sep secret, it is the best products I have used for dry skin patches and seriously works. It has a plethora of ingredients that are great at soothing, replenishing and moisturising the skin. The formula is very thick and sticky so I don't apply it all over my face and especially dry areas on my body.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 | £5.90 | post
This is my stand out product from my The Ordinary collection and i've used it pretty much everyday since I got it. Hyaluronic acid is best know for its hydrating properties and that is just what it has don't to my skin. The serum like formula applies smoothly to my skin, it does have a slight sticky feel to it but I always apply a moisturiser after. I have definitely noticed that my skin doesn't feel as dry or tight at times and my dry patches have been reduced.
Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter in Strawberry Shortcake | $22.00
I wasn't keen on ordering from Kylie Cosmetics again as the customs just kill me but these were just calling my name, especially as a highlighter addict. I did want Cotton Candy Cream but that sold out instantly so I went for this much pinker shade. The formula of these is very much a dewy glow rather than an intense shimmer and I have to say these don't look like much in the pan. However, once applied to my skin the glow is amazing and they last all day.I have to say I wasn't too impressed with the cardboard packaging especially for the price.
TheBalm Frat Boy Blush | £16.75
Since TheBalms Mary Lou Manizer is one of my favourite products I hoped their other face products would be in the same league. The matte blush shade is a peachy apricot shade that is perfect for the summer with bronzed skin. The pigmentation of this is just right as it doesn't add too much colour but still adds a flushed glow.
Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat | £6.95
I always paint my nails myself so a good top coat is needed to ensure my nail colour lasts as long as possible. Sally Hansen always do the best selection of bottom and top coats and this one is the best I have tried. It adds lots of shine to my nails whilst securing the polish in place for days and not chipping.
NARS Unfiltered 2 Cheek Palette | £45.00
Every time Nars bring out a cheek palette I always mean to buy but before I can it always sells out so I took no chances with this one and got it as soon as I could. The Nars blushers are some of my favourites and both the shimmer and matte finishes work well on my skin and look lovely. This palette is a selection of muted pinks, peaches and nudes, which are my preference when it comes to blusher. This is also definitely great value for money with 6 decent sized blushers for £45.
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer | £8.49
If you on the hunt for a real dupe of the Touch Eclat you need to try this out, I have found it is pretty much the same style of packaging but also a similar formula. I wouldn't use this as concealer for my dark circles as it really doesn't have the best coverage but it's great for highlighting areas of my face. Although this doesn't contain any shimmer it really adds a glow to my skin.
LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation | £10.99
I picked this up after hearing Leanne from LPage Beauty rave about it. I have to say I didn't think the range was the best as a lot of the shades looked quite dark, I went for Natural which did end up being perfect for me, albeit a little better when I'm tanned but it does work. This is a medium to full coverage but also feels lightweight on my skin, I find it gives a flawless finish this I would say is demi-matte finish that has a slight glow to it. It is also hydrating on my skin and not clingy to any dry patches.

The Nars palette looks beautiful, all of the shades sound perfect and like the kind of blushers I go for too!

Great picks! I used to love the L'oreal lumi concealer but haven't used it since it ran out awhile ago, will definitely have to repurchase soon since I've been really into subtle highlighting!
