COLOURPOP PRESSED POWDER EYESHADOW PANS

As soon as I found out Colourpop were bringing out a collection of eyeshadow pans I knew I had to try them! I have a bit of a thing for single eyeshadows and being able to choose exactly what shades I want but they are just getting so damn expensive from the likes of MUG, MAC and ABH. These CP ones are so affordable at $5 each, obviously plus the customs charge - can they just make their products more accessible in the UK please?!

Since they have bought out their initial range of shades they have added a lot more and there are now so many I need. I had heard mixed reviews of the formula before buying and that different shades and finishes were better than others. In terms of the shades I picked I went for mostly ones I didn't already have and you'll sense a bit of a purple theme (blame that on tat fact that 'apparently' its a good look for green eyes).

Whats great about these is also that when you buy 4 you get a free palette, which I actually found to be of good quality and will be great when I want to go away and can only take a few singles. I bought 10 shades, however, there are only 9 in this post as silly old me bought two of the same - I must have been half asleep at the time of ordering!

Anyway now onto the nine shades I got...

Let Me Explain - metallic ivory shade
Bel Air - cool matte taupe
Dreamboat - matte dusty rose
High Strung - metallic dusty rose
I Owe You - matte mid-tone orange
Stay Golden - matte raspberry pink
Pretty Cruel - matte berry mauve with gold flecks
Double Date - metallic lavendar
Silver Lining - matte dusky purple

My favourite shades are definitely Let Me Explain, as I find it perfect for an inner corner highlighter and brow bone highlighter. High Strung is beautiful and has an almost iridescent shimmer to it. I have yet to actually create some looks with the brighter purple shades but they swatched so well I can't wait to have a play around with some looks.

In terms of the formula I'm actually pretty impressed, I did expect a lot as I do love their potted eyeshadows but the reviews of these have been mixed. I find these to but finely milled and buttery and so pigmented, just look at these swatches. As with most eyeshadows the metallics are more buttery and the mattes slightly powdery but nothing I can't work with.

Have you tried these eyeshadows?

  10. By and large powder covering might be viewed as a naturally preferred strategy for applying a completion especially as it keeps away from the utilization of dissolvable based paints dodges overspray wastage, and any unused powder might be completely reused and utilized once more.powder coating near me
