IF I COULD ONLY OWN 5... FOUNDATIONS

Recently I have picked up a lot of new foundations, I think it has become a bit of an obsession of mine. However, I will always have my favourites, this post is the next in my series of the 'If I could only own 5' and the foundations were actually hard to narrow down. My foundation collection tends to lean more towards to medium-full coverage because if I am going to wear makeup I would actually rather people know it! So here are the top 5 foundations I would keep if I could only have 5.

Can the UK please hurry and have this available as I'm using mine quick and I know i'll need a repurchase soon! Pro-Glow is foundation designed for dry skin, which I tend to suffer with around my nose and eyes and so instead of clinging to the dry patches it will hydrate them and blend out seamlessly. This is a medium coverage but lightweight on the skin and wears well without going patchy. I have order mine from Target previously but I have heard others mention that it is available on eBay and Amazon at reasonable prices, so i'll be ordering form there until it comes to the UK.

When I picked this up at the beginning of last year I used it non-stop and whilst at the moment some others have taken it's place this is still a firm favourite. The foundation counterpart to the cult Touche Eclat was reformulated at the beginning of last year to be more full coverage but lightweight on the skin. I find that this just melts into my skin giving the most flawless base that lasts all day.

Before the end of last year my no. 1 NARS foundation would have been the All Day Luminous Weightless one but Sheer Glow has become my go to! I was always put off by the word sheer, because as I said earlier I'm a medium/full coverage girl and sheer implies to me this is very light. However, I would definitely say this is medium and buildable coverage that lasts all day. It also isn't sticky and shiny like I find other glowing foundations, I would say it's probably more of a dewy matte.

Another US only foundation I'm afraid, it upsets me so much that America has such better makeup than the UK. This one is a very similar formula to the Sheer Glow so I wasn't going to include both but it really is a favourite of mine. Dewy & Smooth is more of a full coverage but still helps your skin glow from within. Like the Sheer Glow one this doesn't makeup your skin look shiny or greasy, it also gives a flawless finish and hydrates the skin.

This is my most recent addition to my collection and I'm loving it. It's a medium coverage but it really does feel weightless on the skin. This is an oil free foundation, so great for those that do suffer with oily skin and don't want to add any more of it to their skin. Like the others this is a glowing, radiant foundation that helps your skin look refreshed and younger. It also contains coconut water, which not only gives it a lovely scent but also helps keep your skin hydrated and moisture levels replenished.

What are your favourite foundations?

I'm currently loving the Revlon Colourstay Foundation - it is inexpensive, lasts well and has a medium coverage, which I prefer :)
