FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

So another month has just ended and time is honestly going so quick, I'm sure it will be summer before I know it! This month has been pretty hectic for me as my mum and and were on holiday for the first two weeks so I had the task of looking after my dog and the house. I was also planning a surprise party for my mum's 50th, which went off without a hitch and she was surprised! This months favourite is a mix of new products and old favourites I have rediscovered.

In January I became part of the Nouveau Lashes #LashGang and part of that meant being sent a goodie bag full of their amazing products. The lashes were my favourite part to see as i'd been wanting to try some of their lashes for a while. My favourite are the glamour and volume as they give a dramatic look but aren't too out there. I also find that there are so comfortable to wear as the lash strip is thin.

I recently ordered quite a few theBalm products from Look Fantastic during their Christmas sales and I got around 25% off I'm sure! This bronzer had been on my wishlist for a while and I tend to get stuck in a rut with bronzers and don't buy many new ones. This one is perfect for perfecting that sun kissed Caribbean getaway look and I find it to be the perfect shade to contour. The matte bronzer is also pigmented and helps your brush pick up just the right amount.

This is a palette I have had for a while now but started using again recently and rediscovered how good it is. The shade selection is full of pinks, golds, bronzes and browns, in either matte or shimmer finish. The formula of these eyeshadows I find to be really pigmented and they blend well together, they are more on the powder side than buttery and creamy.

When this arrived on Beauty Bay a few months ago I just at the chance and went straight to order it, but they seem to have this strange thing that you can't order it to the UK (no idea why)! I did find it on Love Makeup though and they seem to restock it often. Anyway this is downright the best setting powder I have ever tried and you can guarantee my face is covered in this every morning baking my concealer. This is a very finely milled powder that makes my skin look flawless and locks in place my makeup for the rest of the day. My only gripe is that the bottle it comes it makes it very messy to use.

I picked this up in a pretty big drugstore haul as I was already buying two L'Oreal products and it was 3 for 2, so this was effectively free, but I actually really like it. This is probably the best dupe for YSL Touche Eclat I have found. As you would expect this has a brush tip that you just apply to areas you want to highlight and blend in. It's not quite thick enough to use as an actual concealer so I use it on top of that.

I needed to replace my beloved Push Up Drama mascara recently and this new one caught my eye, its pretty much the same as the original but a much more intense black shade. I like this one as a second coat on top of another mascara to add some volume and depth to my lashes. The formula of this is quite wet so it coats lashes easily but you do have to be careful to not apply to much and let your lashes get clumpy.

I have never been one to spend money on eyelash glue and normally just use the little ones that come with the lashes. However, recently I have found that the glue just isnt cutting it and my lashes were falling off. I had heard quite a few people rave about this one and a whole brand dedicated just to eyelash glue must make a good one! I've been using this for a while and it definitely does keep your lashes in place all day, although I do wish the applicator was better on this as I always apply too much product.

I've seen this primer mentioned on a few different blogs and I'm sure It was in Sali Hughes Pretty Iconic book (where I am slowly writing a wishlist from), so it became a must buy for me. I'd actually never really heard of or looked into this range from Boots, but the products promise to effectively target the signs of ageing, which I hope I don't quite have yet but every little helps. Anyway this primer is silicon based so it creates a flawless base for makeup and stops it from going patchy.

You can probably tell by now I went a little drug store crazy this month, I picked this one up as it really intrigued me and I had never tried anything like it. I was a little unsure at first as it only came in two shades (light & medium/dark) and I was actually the darker shade. This is billed as base for a cream contour product and is light coverage, however, I actually find it to be quite a decent coverage. I really love how this gives my skin such a seamless finish and a cream contour blends in beautifully or it looks great just on its own.

What are you favourites this month?
