BATTLE OF THE LIQUID LINERS

If there is one beauty products I love to hate its liquid eyeliner. I'm not whether its my lack of talent at applying or the stuggle to find one that makes it easy to apply, I tend to avoid wearing it like the plague. However, recently I have been picking up a few more to try out and especially ones I hear others rave about and today i'll be giving you my thoughts.

This was the first out of the three I tried out and could see what everyone raves about it for. The super thin tip is perfect for a precise line that can be left thin and subtle or built up and the thin point helps create the perfect flick. The formula is quite wet so it glides on easily without dragging and creates the perfect straight line. This described as being waterproof but it can be easily removed with eye makeup remover and it doesn't leave any stain or mark where it was.

I picked this one up as it was on offer and I wanted to see if it would live up to it's mascara counterpart. It is the most different of the three and is a gel formula instead of the liquid of the other two. It has an angled tube at the end and you twist it up for the gel to come out, however, for me this just doesn't give a thin enough line. I also found that the gel didn't glide as easily onto my eye and did drag along my creating a jaggered line. The gel also dried out on the tip and I have to wipe some away before using again.

This is pretty much identical to the Stila one in my opinion and so it doesn't need to much of a description. However, as with the Stila one its a thin tip, perfect for creating a thin line and sharp tip. I would say the formula of this one isn't quite as wet as the other but it still glides on easily and doesn't drag. I did find this one to be not quite as an intense black as the Stila but still black enough and it doesn't wear away or fade throughout the day.

COMPARISON

For me its either the Stila one or the KVD one and there really isnt much in it, so if you want to save yourself £1.50 then pick up the Stila one. These two also have a much thinner and streamlined packaging than the Benefit one and are much easier to store. The Benefit one really wasn't a winner for me, I didn't like the gel formula and it didn't give me the thin line and sharp flick I like.

What are your thoughts on these three eyeliners?

  1. I completely agree that the Kat Von D and Stila are some of the best on the market, the Benefit one doesn't even compare really!

  2. I found the Kat Von D liner wasn't as highly pignmented as my current liner was (which is a pot liner) however I recently discovered one by Glo & Ray and it has changed my eyeliner game completely, I can now do a cat eye within minutes.

  5. I've heard amazing things about the Stila eyeliner so I'm not surprised that it's your preferred one out of the three! I'm still yet to find my perfect eyeliner but perhaps that's because I haven't tried the Stila or Kat Von D one yet! xx

  6. I've only tried the KVD liner which is my holy grail. I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Stila one though. I must check that one out soon! Great post :)
