Happy Blogmas Day 6! Today's post is the first in my gift guide series for all of those that still haven't done their christmas shopping. This first one is all about luxury beauty items I'm sure any beauty lover would love to see wrapped up under the tree this year and if I didn't already have these items they would definitely be on my wishlist. This post is a mix of mid to high end range of products that shouldn't break the bank but something extra for that special person
I heard about Joan Collins beauty collection a few months ago but never got round to ordering anything but I was lucky enough to be sent this duo to try out. I have to say the packaging is very reminiscent of Charlotte Tilbury and especially that lipstick but its still such a cute duo. This one includes a powder and sponge for topping up out and about and a handy slot for your lipstick. The shade I have is Suzy Star a reddish coral shade, it's one i'll probably use more next summer. This compact is so handy as its perfect handbag size and stops you from losing you lipstick in one of the many compartments.
If the person you are buying a gift for is like me and a highlighter addict then this is the perfect present to slip under the tree. Champagne Pop is a shimmering golden peach shade that gives your skin that dewy glow without too much glitter. The formula is one of the best I own and is so finely milled its almost like butter. Although the packaging of the actual product isn't anything special the box it comes in is good enough to just pop a box on and give as a gift, it's gold chrome with tiny water bubbles all over it.
This is the second holiday release by Hourglass, read about last years here, and i'm so glad I got this years too as a birthday present. This years contains five face powders and is housed in the most instagrammable marble case you would ever see - Hourglass really hit the nail on the head with this packaging! The powders are all exclusive so this is the only way you can get them and are a face powder, blushes, bronzer and highlight. This is a little on the price side but it really is worth it and I'm sure the recipient of this would be ecstatic to receive it!
I have a few CT lipsticks now but there are just so many beautiful shades I really would love to find some more under the tree this year. My favourite range is the Hot Lips all named after legendary women on Charlotte's life and they are some of the most moisturising lipsticks i've tried with really great pigmentation as well. My favourite shades out of all the lipsticks are definitely Kim KW (pinky nude), Nude Kate (caramel nude) and Red Carpet Red (true blue toned red).
These are a new launch by Chanel and I picked mine up a few months back and its a staple in my beauty routine. Liquid lipsticks have been so big this so it was no surprise that Chanel bought out their own very luxury version. There are 8 shades to choose from and the one I have is Amoureux, which is a muted mauve pink. The formula isn't too thick and actually quite runny so you don't need much to cover you lips, I have found them to be comfortable to wear but with the most coveted matte finish.
Another new release this year and a new addition the the UD Naked collection. This one is an all matte palette of neutral shades to suit every need. The shades include soft nudes, burnt browns and purples and some deep blues. If you have tried the other Naked palettes you'll know that UD's shadows are insanely pigment and the same can be said about this palette. The packaging have also been revamped for this palette and is now a square design in luxe gold packaging and a starburst design on the front.
MAC recently launched a new strobing/highlighting collection with new shades in their strobe creams and extra dimension skin finishes. This post includes Double Gleam a powder highlighter that gives the skin luminosity and a dewy glow. The shade is a beige shade that has a silver iridescent shimmer to it. If you know a MAC love this christmas I'm sure they would love it and you could even surprise them with one of the new strobe creams too!
For this christmas season Benefit have out three different amazing products and a tool into three different sets to suit everyone's brown needs. There is the Bigger & Bolder, Soft & Natural and Refined & Defined. All of great value for money as some of the products alone are £20+ and you get three in each set. The brow range by Benefit was relaunched earlier this year and is now in more luxurious silver chrome packaging.
Will you be buying any of these products for loved one this christmas?
