When it comes to eyeshadow I love shimmer and wear it a lot but you really can't go wrong with a matte eye look, especially for day time. I decided to do a post on the matte eyeshadow palettes I own, and i've realised I actually don't own that many. These are the three palettes I have in my collection that are entirely matte, but i'll definitely be adding more to my collection in the future.
This is a recent addition to my collection as you can probably tell from the blog posts lately! This includes 12 all matte eyeshadows all with a neutral tone. The design of this is inspired by an artists palette, so there are 3 sets of shades that all work together for a complete eye look. Each set contains a base, contour, define and highlight shade. The entire palette is warm browns, creams and a jet black in one of the sets of shades. I definitely this is good value for money as the formula of these shades reflects that, they are silky to apply and can be built up depending on the look you are going for.
This is the all matte version of the infamous 35O that you can never get hold of. I have both this one and the shimmer version to cover all bases and because I couldn't get hold of the original at first. The 35O palettes are a selection of burnt orange, reds and browns and is the ultimate autumnal palette. If you haven't tried the Morphe shades already I seriously recommend, they are some of the most pigmented I have ever tried and so affordable! These palettes are such good value for money in that you get 35 shades for around £20, obviously you will get some dud shades or some that are really similar but that isn't an issue when its that price.
This is the little sister of the original Naked palettes but now an all matte version with every neutral shade you will need. The neutrals in this palette include pales creams and nudes, warm browns and the muted blues and purples add something a little different. This palette is also the only one out of the three to come with a handy double ended brush and the packaging is just that little more luxurious with the gold metal case. The formula of the UD shadows I find to be pigmented and blendable but they can be chalky and have fall out.
Do you own any of these palettes?
xo
I'm definitely after the Kat Von D and Urban Decay palettes, I just love matte shades. My favourite I own is the Too Faced Natural Matte. x
