Paul Mitchell is a brand i'd briefly heard of before but never tried any of the products. Recently I was given the opportunity to try out some of their range and I couldn't be more excited. My biggest issue with my hair is it being dry and brittle from being coloured and heat being used on it a lot, so I'm always on the hunt for new products that will hopefully revive my hair.
I went for the Ultimate Colour Repair Range* which harnesses the reparative power of Quinoa to restore lustre, lock in hair colour and reverse the signs of damage. I've heard of people eating Quinoa before for its health benefits but never anything beauty related. It was discovered by Incas thousands of years ago and is rich in amino acids that penetrate the hair and bond it like a magnet and creating a protective shield.
From the range I was kindly send the shampoo, conditioner and thermal protection spray. I have to say one thing about companies that make shampoo and conditioner is that they sometime give you less conditioner in the duo. My hair is so thick and I need lots more condition so companies please give me more product!
I've been using this for a few weeks now and so have got a good feel of what its like and what it does to me hair. To be honest with you I absolutely hated this to begin with. On my first use when I was blow drying my hair is felt sticky and like it had loads of product left in it. Once i'd then straightened it the stickiness didn't go a little but I still didn't like the feeling of my hair. However, now after using the products I've realised its a lot better if I shampoo after conditioning the sticky feeling is still there when blow drying which I think is mainly down to the heat of hair dryer.
Since i've been using this i've noticed my hair is now a lot softer and doesn't feel dry at all evening after using straighteners. There is still some sticky feeling around the roots but I think that adds to how smooth my hair feels and it is bearable.
Have you tried any Paul Mitchell products?!
xo
I haven't tried any of their products, but shampoos in the past that give me that sticky hair feeling aren't usually ones I like. I just can't get over the initial feel to keep using them, great review! It's good to know that it works well when styling products xxx

Such a shame about the stickiness! I would love to try something similar that could protect my hair like this!
