IF I COULD ONLY OWN 5... HIGHLIGHTERS

So here is the fourth instalment in my mini series of the top 5 of each beauty product. Today's turn is for my absolute favourite product that I own way too many of and keep adding to my collection - highlighters! I don't know what it is about them but I just love the glow that they add to you face and it's probably one of the main products I wont leave the house without wearing. It was a tough decision on what ones to include in this post but these are the ones I reach for the most, i'll be doing a full post of all my highlighters as part of my blogmas so keep an eye out for that to see the rest of my collection.

This little beauty took the world by storm and really made me take a big interest in the BECCA products. It's a collaboration between the Youtuber Jaclyn Hill and BECCA cosmetics and one of the prettiest highlighters I own. If you watch Jaclyn Hill you'll know she is a big fan of highlighter and her skin always looks glowing - my aim in life. Champagne Pop is a luminizing powder that catches the lighter beautifully and really makes the skin pop! The shade is a soft golden peach shade in my opinion but will work for those with dark or light skin tones. The formula of this is soft and buttery and almost melts into you skin

This is a cult product that seems to be loved by everyone and I finally added it to my collection a few months back. Soft & Gentle is described as a gilded peach bronze and I would say that is quite fitting although its more muted bronze than peach. The powder seems to have a baked formula but is still velvety soft. I do find there is quite a bit of fall out when swirling you brush in this so I hope it doesn't run out quickly. I find this shade great for a more subtle highlight as it matches my skin tone the best or i'll lightly dust it all over my face for that glowing look.

One that is slighter warmer and deeper than the first two is this one by Laura Geller. I think I was suckered into buying this because of the pretty pan, although admittedly it is quite small - perfect for carrying out and about though. Gilded Honey is a rich gold shade with more of a glitter finish than a dewy shimmer. I find this was blends well onto the skin although it isn't buttery like others in this post.

I think this one was one of my very highlighters and as you can tell its still a firm favourite. Not sure what it is about it but I don't think I have any others in my collection quite like or any will live up to my love for it. It's a soft honey shade and I would almost say this is very much a champagne shade. I think this one has a very similar formula to Champagne Pop in that is buttery and creamy almost but with a powder finish.

This one is my newest fave and since I got it a few weeks back it's been used non stop. I saw this on multiple Youtube videos and it looked right up my street so I took the plunge and ordered in using a mailing service, I also got 30% off as lots of Youtubers have their own discounts codes. Rodeo Drive is a pale yellow gold perfect for adding that sun kissed shimmer. The pan itself also has a cute sun ray design printed in the buttery powder and you do get a lot of product in the pan.

What are your highlighter favourites?

  2. Ahhh all these swatches look so pretty! I've heard such great things about all of these! The MAC highlighter sounds so great for a natural highlighter, even if it does have some fall out :)

  8. I am a highlighter junkie! There is no limit of buying highlighter in my opinion. Recently I did Spring make-up lessons , I heard Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey one there, from a friend of mine. I bought this and this is so awesome! I freaking love this one and I use this almost on regularly basis. This is a must have as a warm highlighter in my opinion.
