OCTOBER FAVOURITES

I say this every month but how quick is this year going! I'm not complaining now though as November is a good month for me, I have graduation then my birthday and then obviously you can start getting excited for Christmas. This month there has been a lot of new arrival to my beauty collection but some have stood out more than most.

This is definitely my new favourite palette! This was launched earlier this month and everyone went crazy over it. Luckily my mum was a babe and picked it up for me a few weeks ago and i've been using it non stop since. I own the 3 original Naked palette but not the basics one, however, I loved the look of the matte finish shadows. This palette combines 12 brand new matte shades and the selection is amazing! I wont go into too much detail as I'm planning that in a new post. This is such a dreamy palette and I love how they changed the shape of this one to a square with the bursting star design on the front, I think it adds some luxury to the palette.

On a recent shopping trip me and my mum each picked out a new lipstick and I went for these new liquid lipstick by Chanel. I didn't even realise they were bringing these out but they are so dreamy. I went for Amoureux, which is a mauve pink shade. The formula is very similar to the NYX Lip Lingeries id say, they aren't too creamy but you do need a few layers for a thick sheen of colour.

Say hello to the pretty nail polish ever! The holographic nail trend is so big at the moment so i've been on the hunt for one I can do at home. I spotted this on the Beauty Bay website but as soon as I went to order it was out of stock until I found it on another website and for cheaper! The polish itself is white in colour with a holographic shimmer, it's not completely opaque so I always wear it on top of another colour, it works great with pastel shades.

I got this beauty in a Tarte set i'll be blogging about soon, however, I can't seem to find it on sale anywhere on its own, so i've linked a different one. This mascara came with the Lights, Camera Lashes Mascara one one end and a primer on the other. I'd never used a mascara primer before but now I'm loving it. I find that the primer gives me loads of length whilst the mascara adds volume and intensity to the colour.

This had been my go to bronzer pretty much all month and now I can see what the hype is all about. This is a classic bronze shade with a very slight shimmer and it would suit all skin tones. I find the shade is pigmented but not too much so it isn't too harsh. The size of the pan is also huge so I'm hoping it will last a long time!

Another product i've been using a lot this month is this new dreamy limited edition highlighter from L'Oreal. This was released as part of their new gold collection and its so dreamy. It's very similar to the colour pop highlighter if you've tried them, and I can't help but think its made in the same place as the packaging is so similar. This is one of those cream to powder formulas and I find its best applied with my find. The shade is a bronzey gold, rather than a true gold.

This is one of those that I've had for a while but didn't use at first but now I'm loving. I did end up with a shade slightly too dark for me so it works better when I'm tanned but I still love the formula. It's lightweight and illuminates the skin with light reflecting particles and although its lightweight it still gives great coverage. I definitely need to pick up a lighter version of this for the winter months when I'm not as tanned.

What are your favourites this month?

  3. I can't believe I haven't jumped on the bandwagon with Nars Lugana! I feel like that and Hoola are just blogger staples! I wish I had gotten my hands on the Naked Basic but I just can't justify another palette (yet...) xx
