DRUGSTORE MAKEUP HAUL

Recently i've picked up quite a few bits whilst out on the high street, from Boots, Superdrug and TK Maxx. So today I thought i'd bring it all to you in one post. I have found recently that the drug store is bringing out lots of new released and some can even rival the more high end products that are out.

This was all over Twitter and Instagram when it was released and really looked right up my street, I'm already a big fan of the Solstice palette so had high hopes. I picked this up in Boots, however, I do wish i'd waiting and got it from Superdrug as they had a 2 for £12 offer on. The palette is a selection of golds, bronzes and champagnes in either a powder or cream finish. I do with they are all powder though as I'm not the biggest fan of cream highlighters. The shades are Sphinx, a powder finish antique gold, Dynasty, a cream finish silver gold, Delta, a cream finish bronze, and Goddess, a powder finish champagne gold.

I spotted this in TK Maxx and really fell for it. The shade selection was nothing like I had and a brand i'd never heard of before so I was intrigued to try. I think these retail for around $30 so quite a good saving. The palette is houses in a gold croc print case, which gives it a luxury feel and you get a double ended brush and eyeliner included. This palette is a mix of golds, champagnes, pinks and purples. The eyeshadows themselves are pigmented and blend really well together. The palette is also designed to give you quads or duos that are designed to work together.

L'Oreal Gold Highlighter | £6.99

This was another product that was all over social media once it was released so I hunted through Superdrug and Boots until I could find it. I can't seem to find it online anywhere so I think it may be a store exclusive that wont last for long, so if you want it i'd head to your local Superdrug ASAP. This highlighter is such a good dupe for the Colourpop ones and the formula and packaging is pretty much identical - Are they made in the same place?! The formula is a cream to powder and I find it works best when applied with your finger. Its a true gold shade and part of the new L'Oreal gold collection. I can't remember exactly what I paid for this but I think it was around £6.99, I did buy it on a 3 for 2 though!

I spotted this at the L'Oreal stand and i'd never realised before that they already had highlighters out. This one took my fancy as I really love a silvery highlighter, I find they really make my cheekbones pop. This one has 3 shades that can be mixed together or used separately. This icy shade will be perfect for winter when my skin is paler. This powder has quite a bit of fall out so do you need to be careful when applying but a little product goes a long way.

I picked this up as to complete my 3 for 2 on L'Oreal. I liked the idea that this foundation helps your skin radiate with liquid light technology. I did make a massive error and buy a shade that was a little too light for me at the moment and will probably only work for me when I'm my palest. This formula is light on your skin and probably a light to medium coverage.

These are the newest additions to the Kate Moss lipstick collection to celebrate 15 years of Rimmel and Kate Moss, I'm already a big fan of the lipsticks so these were a must. One of the main reasons I picked up a few of these are the gorgeous rose gold packaging. The collection is three new nude shades and three new reds, so I picked up one of each. Idol Red is a true red shade with blue undertones and Boho Nude is warm coffee coloured nude shade. These both had a satin finish and keep your lips moisturised the whole time.

Have any of you tried these products?

  1. I've never tried Cargo makeup before, are they availble outside of the UK? Also the Sleek palette looks so nice, I definitely prefer the shades in this palette over the other one
