When it comes to my hair and the tools I do I definitely stuck in a routine with the same products/tools. I'm a GHD user through and through as I really don't think you can get better and they work so well on my thick long hair. However, the new Toni & Guy Style Fix collection* has opened my eyes new some new tools I can use on my hair. The collection consists of three smaller appliances that are perfect if your travel a lot or if you don't have a lot of space to store hair products.
If you've read my blog for a while you'll know that I review the full-size version of the waver a couple of months ago (here). This collection now includes a mini version that I will definitely take away with me on trips to style my hair a little different. The waver has deep plates that leaves your hair with natural looking waves - think of your hair after its been in plaits. A great way to use these and get volume would be to spritz the hair with 3D Volumiser*, the waver your hair as normal leaving it on for 10 seconds. Once you've done all your hair then running your fingers through you hair to add more volume. I always add a little hairspray at the end to keep it in place as my hair is heavy and so styles can drop easily.
I was actually most excited about the straightener as sometimes taking my normal straighteners away with me can take up a lot of room. These mini ones are small but still has the benefit of heating up to 210 degrees. When styling my hair with heat I always make sure to use a heat protection and recently I'm liking the Heat Protection Mist* for keeping my hair in good condition whilst still looking good! Once my hair is straight I finish with the Shine Gloss Serum* to help add shine to my blonde hair and smooth away any stray hairs.
I don't normally use a curling tong as I find I can do it a lot faster with straighteners, however, this mini curling tong is quick to use and leaves my hair with soft curls. Although this still takes a little longer that straighteners I have found the curls stay in a lot longer but still look natural. To help keep my hair soft and with natural movement I spritz my hair with the Tropical Elixir* that has a blend of oils. I know i'll definitely be taking this products on holiday with me.
This summer collection also has a really cute twist with all the electrical stylers having different pops of colour. The waver has pink plates, the straighteners have blue plates and the curler has green handle. All of these are prices at £29.99 so really affordable and definitely wont break the bank, even if you wanted all three!
Have any of you tried these?
