KYLIE COSMETICS | FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 6 months you will know that Kylie Jenner has launcher her very own cosmetics range. It mainly comprises of lip products but last week she launcher her neutrals 'Kyshadow' palette which in no shock it sold out in minutes.

I've been wanting to order some of the lip products ever since they were launched but I'm so glad I waited as to begin with they would sell out in seconds. However, recently there tends to be quite a lot of the different shades in stock, so if you're interested in order i'd say go for it as there will be some in stock.

I was a little apprehensive when I order as i'd heard a lot of horror stories of people receiving empty boxes or their orders just not turning up. But I just went for it and my order went through pretty smoothly and all products turned up! I have also heard that the customer services for the company is shocking so i'm just glad everything went okay and I didn't have to contact them.

The ordering process for me was pretty simple as all shades I wanted were in stock so I proceeded to the check out. As expected the postage to the UK is quite high at $14.95 (still cheaper than the likes of ABH and Colour Pop though). I was really impressed that my order was dispatched 2 days after I placed the order as it does say it can be 3-5 business days for shipping. Unfortunately I got stuck with customs charges of £17, although I was expecting it since the order was quite high in value. In total I think it took around 10 days for my order to arrive to me once i'd paid the customs fee so not bad for coming from America.

Anyway lets get to the products, the packaging is a clear tube with the signature Kylie drips and I actually really like it. The tubes are actually quite a good size as well and probably some of the biggest liquid lipsticks I own. You also get a cute little postcard with a thank you message from Kylie and it adds a nice touch to your order.

The shades I went for were Koko K, Dolce K and Like gloss. In all honestly there was about 5 other shades I could have ordered but I restrained myself and just ordered the ones I wanted from the beginning. Koko was my first choice as its a soft dusk pink shade that is obviously named after Khloe and I love how she wears her makeup. The next choice was Dolce K, which is a deep beige nude shade and actually a little darker than I was expecting. The final choice was the Like gloss and that was just because I couldn't decide between all of the glosses. Like is a deep mocha brown shade and I'm actually wishing I had got one of the lighter shades for this time of year.

In terms of formula the mattes are creamy that glides onto your lips with the sponge applicator. I have found you need about two coats for an even look but don't apply too much as it can be too heavy in your lips. They dry completely matte but I didn't find it too drying. These tend to last quite well and I only needed to apply a little more after eating order drinking. The gloss is quite thick and coats the lips in a full slick of colour in just one coat. They also contain Vitamin E to help keeps the moisturised.

So this is my first impressions of Kylie Cosmetics and as you can tell I'm a fan. I will definitely be ordering some more of the shades soon and especially the metals!

What are your thoughts of Kylie Cosmetics?

  5. Like you I've been put off in the past by the horrific stories about Kylie's customer service, but hopefully they've started working out the creases and now and it's fairly reliable?! I love the look of some of the shades, but I still think it's a bit overpriced

  10. Koko K looks like my kind of colour but I think the other two would be too brown for my skin tone. Everybody raves about the longevity & formula! xx
