Can anyone believe it's almost autumn?! Now that the end of summer is pretty much here soon i'll be bringing out my winter makeup, consisting of berry red lip shades and dark eyeshadows. However, this months favourites is still a collection of summery products i've been loving.
UD recently scrapped their entire original lipstick range and bought out 100 new shades in 5 different finishes. I picked up one of the comfort matte shades when Feel Unique had 10% off UD. Comfort Matte is a super creamy formula with a matte finish, this is probably one of the dreamiest formulas i've tried. You get an opaque slick of colour in one swipe and even though you have a matte finish your lips are still moisturised. I have the shade Unicorn, which is a perfect summery shade, it's a creamy peach shade that would look amazing with a tan.
I picked this up in a recently Colourpop haul, which I'll have on my blog soon once my other package has arrived. I picked up the shade Chi in the matte finish as I was after a cool toned nude, this is from the collaboration with Karrueche Tran. Its in the matte finish, which I do find slightly drying after a while, however, it really does stay on your lips for ages.
Okay so admittedly I did buy these lashes partly because they had my name! Although I have been wanting to try some Huda lashes for a while and hers always look amazing in her videos. The Samantha pair are they mid range I would say as they are priced at £15.50. They have that wispy mink style effect to them and really do add some drama to your lashes. One thing I am trying to get used to with them is the thicker lash band as it can feel a little heavy at first.
Recently i've really been suffering with dry skin and no matter how much I moisturise it still seems to go dry and flakey. This new range by Garnier is a highly effecting hydrating range that contains anti-oxidant fruit extracts and 15% plant serum. This cream is a gel formula that instantly melts into your skin. Although this is a night cream i've been using in in the day as well and it doesn't leave my skin greasy before applying makeup.
I've been really intrigued to try out the CP bronzers as their formula is so unique, it's a sort of cream to powder once its on your skin. I picked the shade Carry On, which is a soft bronze in a matte finish and definitely suits my skin tone although it is recommended for darker skin tones. I've been applying this with a really tightly packed brush and blending it out at the same time.
This is one of those products i've wanted for ages as someone I know had it and it just looked so gorgeous. Part of the Naked range this highlighter can be used for both the face and the body for a luminous glow. I have the shade Aura, which is a soft shimmery pink with a gold iridescent sparkle. This highlighter isn't as pigmented as the likes of the Mary Lou-Manizer or BECCA highlighters, but it gives more of a glow rather than an intense sparkle.
I've actually owned this concealer for a while now but the shade I has originally was too dark for me so now i've picked up a lighter shade I've been using it a lot more. This formula of this is quite light and blends out really well. I apply this around my eyes, forehead and chin using the sponge application, I then blend out with a damp beauty blender and set with a powder. after this the concealer doesn't crease and budge for hours.
As well as dry skin i've been suffering a lot with dry lips - why me?! So to try and combat those dry, chapped lips I picked up some of these lip oils. Lots of brands seem to be bring these out lately and i've only tried the Barry M ones but I'm pretty impressed. Basically I would describe these as a super moisturising gloss with a dreamy scent. This Coco Loco one smells like being on a holiday to be - you know that cocktail smell!
What have some of your favourites been this month?
