SEPHORA HAUL

I so wish this post was going to be all about this makeup rampage id gone on in Sephora, but unfortunately not. However, my boyfriend was out in Barcelona recently so I wasn't going to miss an opportunity for some new makeup.

Since it was my makeup phobe boyfriend I wasn't sending in there I sent him pictures of a few items I wanted in the hope they would be stocked there. I mainly opted for Sephora Collection products (since I knew they would be stocked there) and then some items from Laura Mercier, Kat Von D and Tarte. Unfortunately they only had the items I wanted from the Sephora Collection and Kat Von D, but I was still please with what he managed to pick up for me.

I had originally sent over just some of the face masks for him to pick up for me as I really liked it when I tried one in New York, but my boyfriend clearly went a little mad and got foot and hands masks as well. In the face masks I got the Pomegranate for anti-fatigue and energising, the Lotus for moisturising and soothing and the Pearly for perfecting and brighting. In the foot masks he got me Lavender for refreshing and relaxing (i'm really intrigued to try this out) and the hand masks in Argan for anti-ageing and eveness and Aloe Vera for ultra-moisturising and beautifying. I haven't actually had chance to try any of these yet but I can't wait for a chilled sunday to try them out.

I'd heard lots of people rave about this foundation brush and I was keen to try out a new one as I was getting a little bored of my Zoeva one. I've used this with thicker and lighter foundations and found that whilst it blends them both out it works better with lighter bases. Compared to other foundation brushes i've used this one has longer and more loosely packed.

I've been on the hunt for a tightly packed blending brush for ages and this one is just perfect. I've been using this for blending out my cream contour and have found it does it with so much ease. The synthetic bristles are in a dome shape so you can blend out large areas but also reach those smaller areas. My only issue with this brush is that the handle is so wide and short that it doesn't fit in my brush holder.

Again so many people rave about these that they were a must buy since they aren't available in the UK currently - they will be launching in Debenhams in September though!! This come in a thin slim tube with a sponge applicator, I found them to be light on my lips with a matte finish but not drying. I got the shades Bow N Arrow a fawn nude and Lolita a chestnut rose.

The hunt for the perfect liquid eyeliner is such a struggle for me. I heard good things about this one and saw Tanya Burr use it in a Snapchat tutorial and it looked really easy to use. I have the shade Trooper which is a really deep black shade. The applicator is a felt time but it stays quite wet for an easy application. I'm still perfecting that feline flick but with this its getting easier.

What bits would you recommend from Sephora?

  2. I just recently purchased a few of the face masks and I love them. I have yet to try the hand and feet ones but I'm intrigued. I love Sephora's own collection. The Cream Lip Stains (liquid lipsticks) are amazing! I have a giveaway for them running on my Instagram and I've entered a committed relationship with a red! Lol. I also highly rate their powder blushers and single eye shadows.

  7. I'm in need of a good Sephora haul! That's kind of disappointing about the Sephora foundation brush. I thought it would be magical!
