LIFE UPDATE

I'll be the first to admit that my favourite type of blog post to read is beauty related and that will never change. However, sometimes it's nice to find out about the person behind the blog  and thats exactly what this post is. Recently a lot has happened or changed in my life and these are just some of the things you might see me moaning (haha!) or mentioning in my upcoming blog posts.

FINISHING UNI

On the 2nd of June I took my last ever exam at Bournemouth Uni and soon i'll be an Accounting & Business graduate - permitting my results next week (eek!) I'm actually so happy to have finally finished my degree as the last year was a lot of hard work and in the end I was getting sick of education. I'm also so happy that I hopefully will never have to do an exam again (as you can tell I won't be becoming an accountant) as they really aren't for me!

I did honestly though have one of the best times ever at uni and wouldn't change it for the world. Meeting new people, making friends for life, having crazy experiences and doing a bit of studying are all part of the experience and if you are considering it at the moment then go for it!

NEW JOB

Okay, so admittedly my graduate job isn't a new job for me as i've gone back to where I completed my placement but it's good to be back in full time employment. My role is in sales, which is a very fun environment to work in and all the people I work with are great. I was so lucky to be able to find a grad job right after finish uni and to be earning a wage again - I'm really not about that poor student life!

FINANCES

So as you can probably tell I'm excited to be earning again and to buy all the makeup! However, I'm also planning to try and start saving a fair amount each month. I'm lucky enough to be able to live at my parents with my new job so I only pay a minimal amount of rent each month meaning I can save as much as possible to hopefully buy a house in the next few years with my boyfriend.

Another thing I want to save for it to hopefully go back to New York next summer. I just know if I go back I would have the biggest shopping list so I figured if I started saving now i'd have a good amount to spend.

MAKEUP

Obviously I had to include a little bit of makeup in this post but this is more part of my life. For some of you that aren't aware I completed a professional makeup techniques course at the beginning of this year and have decided that around my full time job i'm going to do makeup artistry. I already have some wedding makeup planned this year so I'm excited to get out there and improve. I'd love for people to checkout some of the looks i've created on my instagram - @samanthasbeautyloves!

Thanks for reading this post and I know it's not my usual post but I love hearing about the person behind the blog!
