July has been a pretty busy month for me as work has gotten really busy and most of my weekends i've had plans so blogging has taken a back step. However, I'm determined to get back to it and get as many posts scheduled as possible and to keep it up. This months favourites is pretty much all new products as i've got a little spendy now I'm earning a pay cheque every month.
This has honestly changed my whole makeup routine and I don't know what I did without it. This is a pretty well known product in the makeup artist world and i've been dying to get my hands on it for a while, It's available on a lot of professional makeup websites and the cheapest i've found is the Guru Makeup Emporium at £11.95 for the 42g bottle. I have to say this isn't the most appealing packaging but I guess when you're a professional MUA you don't really care too much for the packaging. I've been using the product itself to set my under eye concealer and it's such a revelation to me as my concealer no longer creases and my mascara doesn't rub off either.
This is yet another revelation to me as it now means I can use any of my foundation when I want. I have bought a lot expensive foundations when I'm fake tanned and so they are of no use to me when I'm not. However, these little magic drops lighten the foundation and you can just keep adding until you get to your skin tone. It doesn't even alter the finish of the foundation I've found, as my mattes stay matte. My only issue with this is that my pipette it comes with doesn't seem to work that well so I mostly have to pour it out, I may just have a defective one though.
I have this already in the gold shade that everyone is obsessed about and I also love it so I had to pick up some others that were in the sale. I picked out Golden Mauve and Light Taupe which are pretty much as the names would suggest, although I would say the taupe shade is very silvery (great for an inner corner highlighter). These eyeshadows can be used dry or wet for a more intense look, I have actually tried it wet yet so can't comment on how much more pigments they are.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks | $20.00
I featured these in my Sephora haul (here) a couple of days ago but I had to include them in my favourites as i've been loving them. I find these liquid lipsticks so nice as they aren't too heavy or drying but still really matte on the lips. I only tend to apply one even quote so it doesn't feel too heavy and the longevity is really great. I have the shades Lolita a chestnut rose and Bow N Arrow a fawn nude. Bow N Arrow is definitely my favourite as I tend to lean more towards brown nudes rather than pinks.
ABH Gleam Glow Kit | £39.00
I've been dying to get my hands on one of the Glow Kits ever since they were released and so I finally took the plunge with my first months pay. I have a more detailed post so I wont go too much into it, but Gleam I would say have a selection of more silvery and pink tones highlighters and thats the main reason I went for it. I think this is such great value for money as the highlighters are such a decent side for a palette so I know it would last me for ages.
Morphe Brushes | $5.99 - £8.99
When I first started getting these brushes from the Live Glam #MorpheMe descriptionI thought the red/brown tones bristle ones were and old Elite collection as they looked like they were but obviously a different colour - I even said in my blog post here. However, I realised the other week when the launched the Elite II collection that thats where they were from! Some of my favourites from them this past month have to be the E48 mini pointed powder which i've actually been using as a highlight, E22 pointed blender and E18 mini crease. These are such lovely soft brushes to apply your makeup with and they blend everything so beautifully!
