Being a beauty lover in the UK can be so annoying sometimes. America always seems to have better brands and some that aren't always accessible in the UK. One of the most annoying things about trying to get American beauty in the UK is the high postage and customs chargers! This post has a selection of brands that are easy to access in the UK and some that are not so easy.
TOO FACED
Whilst I know this one is easy to access in the UK through Debenhams the US obviously get all of the products before they are released in the UK and the prices are cheaper in the US. I have quite a few products from them as I haven't been disappointed my anything yet. One of my absolute favourites from them is the Better Than Sex mascara (which I completely forgot to photograph) but it's honestly the best mascara I've ever tried. Another favourite is the cult Chocolate Bar Palette (post here) that really does smell of chocolate, it is a selection of earthy tones with some bright purples as well. The Melted lipsticks are also another favourite of mine as they are a liquid lipstick but not at all drying.
NYX
This brand is a recent addition to the UK now that Boots, ASOS, Feel Unique and Selfridges all stock it, and pretty much all makeup loving girls in the UK have gone made for it, including me. The Soft Matte Lip Creams are one of the dreamiest lip products I own and have around 12 shades now, they are really light and fluffy so feel weightless on your lips and there is any shade you could want. Other lip favourites of theres are the Lip Lingeries and Liquid Suedes, seriously if you haven't tried any of these before then go and get them! I also love their face products, their Studio Finishing Powder and Wonder Stick are frequent products in my everyday makeup routine.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS
ABH is readily available in the UK through both Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty but we don't have the full range, including the most coveted liquid lipsticks I really want to get my hands on. ABH are most famous for their contour and eyebrow range and I own the cream and powder contour kits which really do live up to their name and the DipBrow Pomade makes my eyebrows look incredible. Other favourites of mine are the Glow Kits (I need the new Sweets one, I hope its available in the UK soon as I really don't want to pay the postage fees from America). The Modern Renaissance palette is also everywhere at the moment and they are some of the most amazing eyebrows I've ever tried.
MORPHE
This is another thats available on Beauty Bay, Cult Beauty and some other websites but again the UK doesn't seem to stock the full range and I really need to get my hands on the cult 35O palette when its back in stock in the UK. Morphe are also famous for the brushes and i've have recently started using them after signing up to their #MorpheMe subscription services (post here). The latest delivery had 4 brushes in and they are all ones that I wanted and will use a lot! I have also reviewed two of their 12 shade eyeshadow palettes here, check it out if you're considering buying some Morphe eyeshadows.
COLOUR POP
This was the brand that was the hardest to access in the UK until recently when they announced international shipping - although I have heard the shipping is really expensive and cheaper to still do it through a forwarding service. I've only recently bought some Colour Pop products but I can see what all the fuss is about. My favourites are the Lippie Stix and Super Shock Shadows. Everything from CP is so affordable and the high shipping and possible customs charges are counteracted by the low prices. I will definitely be ordering from them again soon just unsure as to whether it will be through Colour Pop themselves or a mail forwarding service.

I recently have made a Colourpop order and it's currently on its way! I'm so blooming excited, I purchased super shock eyeshadows, lippie stix, liquid lipsticks, and a highlighter. My favourite american brand has to be Too Faced though, they get it right on so many levels. The packaging is not only beautiful but the quality of their products is great.
ReplyDeleteLovely post!

To people new to the naming issues of a business, check out this brand naming agency. I’ve heard that their discount prices are exactly what everyone is looking for. Go for it!
