So summer in the UK has finally made an appearance, although the humidity is ridiculous and my hair is constantly going frizzy i'm so happy to finally have some sunshine. Now that its summer is here I've been switching up my outfits, makeup, skincare and nail colours all in favour of the summer.

When I ordered from ASOS a couple of weeks ago during their 20% student discount I was randomly sent this Mermaid Passport Holder for free in my order. I'm not really sure why as I didn't notice that they were giving anything away so i'm assuming it was an accident. However, I'm not complaining as its such a cute summery cover and, although I know airports hate when you have covers on your passport I'll be taking it with me on any trips I go on this summer. Another thing i'll be reaching for is my Ray Ban Aviators, these are some of my favourites as they don't feel heavy on my face or give me a headache like others. I'm hoping to get a mirrored pair in the summer time as the Aviators are such an easy pair to wear.

Some of my new favourite things are my White Birkenstocks, although both my mum and boyfriend insist they are ugly shoes, I'm loving them. I find these so comfortable to wear and easy to slip on an off. I also find that in the white they make my feet look tanned which is always an added bonus.

Nails are one of my favourite things to switch up during summer and find you can really experiment with different shades. One of my favourite ranges is the Polish for Tans from Models Own and I picked up the shade Malibu Pink, which is a really poppy neon pink shade. Another summer favourite of mine is a shade I picked up in NYC last year from Rickys, its called Citibike Station Full and its the brightest neon orange (think traffic cone orange). I pretty wore this all last summer as I'm so obsessed with the shade and it looks amazing with a tan.

For my makeup base in the summer I tend to opt for the Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser. In the summer my t-zone goes a little oily and this seems to reduce that and give my skin a hint of colour without being too heavy. This is also great as it has an SPF 20 so in the sun you don't need to apply additional protection. I can see one of my favourite palettes for the summer being the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit (post). It has pretty much all the powder you would need for your face. Including 3 powder highlight shades, 2 baked blushers and a baked bronzer.

Like nails I like to be able to experiment with lip colours in the summer and one of my favourite shades is MAC's Flamingo, which is a milky neon coral shade. It is a lustre finish so a little more sheer than other but I like this for summer as its quite moisturising. Finally a new product of mine is the Avene Thermal Water Spray. I really like using this since the weather has been warmer to cool down my face, but it is also a good spray to set your makeup. I think i'll be picking up a mini version of this if I go on holiday.
