BH COSMETICS | SHAAANXO AND CARLI BYBEL PALETTES

When I heard one of my favourite Youtubers was bringing out a palette I just knew I had to have it. I'm obsessed with Shaaanxo and her tutorials are amazing so anything that will get my makeup to look a little bit like hers I want it. I also picked up the Carli Bybel palette as it looked likely kind of thing and I'd heard others mention how amazing it is.

I found the BH Cosmetics website really easy to navigate and it seems like they always seem to have discounts - I can't wait to place a second order. It's also great that they offer international postage as a lot of US sites still don't - please do it soon Colourpop!! I just ordered the two palettes as I was hoping to not get a customs charger (It still happened but more on that later)!

The Shaaanxo palette is priced at $14.50 as a sale price but it has been like that since it launched, this makes it around just under £10 so pretty good for 9 eyeshadows and lipsticks. The eyeshadows are a collection of neutrals, a soft yellow, reds and a charcoal. The eyeshadows are soft and buttery and blend so lovely on your eyes. I've been loving the top row middle shade for a highlight and the middle row middle shade for an all over lid colour. The lip collection includes reds, pinks, oranges and nudes. I haven't worn any of these on my lips yet but when swatched on my arm they were quite thick and creamy and left an opaque strip of colour, they even stained my finger and arm so I'm imagining that the longevity is quite good. I'm just a little disappointed that if I apply the shade in the morning it would be difficult to reapply throughout the day without carrying the whole palette round. The palette has eyeshadows on one side and lipsticks on the other so its still quite compact and great for travelling.

I've spotted the Carli Bybel palette on a lot of blogs recently and it again looked like a palette I would get a lot of use out of. This was also priced at $14.50 for 10 eyeshadows and 4 highlighters. It isn't very often you find a palette with both eyeshadows and highlighter so if i'm ever having to pack like this will be perfect. The eyeshadows in this palette is also a collection of nudes, this time more of a selection of soft creams and caramels with a couple of darker brown shades. The four highlighter go from a silvery champagne, soft gold, subtle peach and a shimmery bronze. Again the eyeshadows are soft and buttery and blend lovely and the highlighters sit lovely on the skin and leave a gorgeous shimmer.

Both palettes are in cardboard packaging so it isn't the most sturdy but its still okay and I can't see them being damaged, it also means they aren't as heavy as other palettes. I ordered mine when the Shaaanxo palette was released for pre-order so it took about a week before my package was dispatched. I opted for the international expedited delivery as it was only $1 more for that, however it did take a little longer than expected. I also got stuck with a customs charge for £11 (£8 of which is a Royal Mail handling charge, so annoying!!). I think in total for from the order being placed to delivery was about 16 days so not that long but I really wanted them!
