This was originally going to be a NYX haul #2 (haul #1 here) but I picked up a few other items when ASOS had 20% student discount so I thought i'd do an ASOS beauty haul. I find ASOS is a great place for beauty products as the stock NYX, NARS, Benefit, Illamasqua and plenty of other brands that you can often get with 10/20% off if you're a student. I do find that their ranges don't include everything that a specific brand has to offer but it's still a great selection.
NYX Wicked Dreams Eye Palette | £12.00
I've been wanting to try out some of NYX's eyeshadows for a while as I'm such a big fan of their lip products. I picked this palette as I thought it was such a good value with 24 eyeshadows for £12. The palette is a selection of natural earthy tones including browns, greens, creams and two blue shades. They are a mix of matte and shimmer finish and extremely pigmented. I have found that the shades blend really well together and you can create a subtle day look or a vampy evening smokey eye.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream | £5.50
I think it fairly obvious that i'm a big fan of these lip products and so this time I wanted to opt for some of the brighter shades ready for summer. Ibiza is a warm toned mauve pink and Morocco is a bold orange-red shade. I find that the pigmentation of these is amazing and lasts a long time but still feels weightless on the lips. I can see these shades becoming staples for the summer and I can't wait to wear them on holiday with a tan.
Models Own Polish for Tan in Malibu Pink | £3.00
This was sort of a last minute purchase as I spotted it in the sale and just imagined my nails the summer with a pop of pink. One of my favourite polishes of last summer was the Polish for Tans in Beach Bag which is a sort of pastel peach shade with a hint of neon. Malibu Pink is slightly more on the bright side (think highlighter pens) but i'm not one to shy away from a bright pop of colour. I especially love the Polish for Tans collection as I find that they really do enhance your tan.
Bourjois Natural Brow | £4.89
One of my favourite things to use on my brows is a felt tip sort of thing but I do find that they dry out quite quick. I spotted this also in the sale and thought it would be a great one to try out and even if it did dry out I wouldn't be losing too much money. I like using a felt tip on my brows as I find it fills them in nicely but you can still get a precise line on the edge. I opted for the shade blonde as it was the only one in the sale and it is maybe a little too light for me, however it is still wearable. Overall i'm pretty impressed with this and it doesn't seem to have dried up at all.
NYX Concealer Wand | £5.50
I've kind of gone a little crazy recently buying concealers as I'm on the hunt for the perfect one that won't crease under my eyes or wear off after a few hours. I'd heard a few good things about this one but wanted to give it a go for myself. I've worn this twice now once on its own and another time with the NXY dark circle concealer and overall I'm pretty impressed. I found that it blended nicely with a small buffer brush and once set with a powder seemed to last a while both times. After a few hours I did notice a few tiny creases but I don't think it would be anything others would notice. I opted for the shade light as I always go for something lighter than my skin tone to highlight, its a really good match for me and doesn't look to pale.

The NYX HD concealer isn't my thing. I don't love it... It doesn't have covarage. It's only good for highlighting. The nyx soft matte lip creams is love. I have the color London and a bright pink one which I don't remember the name. I love them! They are like velvet on lips. Moreover they don't last very well but it's ok!

Gah I didn't realise Asos sold NYX, it's so hard to buy anything on the NYX stand near me, it's always completely stripped bare!
