COLLECTION | FOUNDATION & CONCEALER

I've really started trying out a lot of new foundations recently and drugstores one are definitely my go to at the moment. Since the Lasting Perfection Concealer is a favourite of mine I wanted to try out one of the Collection Foundations. I picked up the Illuminating Touch Foundation in a Boots haul recently as it was on offer at £3.99 and I just couldn't pass it up.

Lets start with the packaging, it definitely doesn't come across as a cheaper foundation as its housed in a glass bottle with a sleek black lid. The concealer is in a slim plastic tube with a black lid as well.

I've been using the foundation for a couple of weeks now and overall its not one of my favourites and didn't live up to expectation I had after the concealer. In terms of the shade I opted for warm beige online as I'm always around a beige shade, however its quite pinky compared to what I normally wear. Its also slightly too pale for me and when i've fake tanned it would be way too light. It is advertised as being a medium to full coverage but for me it was definitely light to medium but could be built up. The durability wasnt too bad and with a setting spray it lasted well throughout the day, I just wasnt mad on the finish of my skin.

Contrasting to the foundation this concealer has been a favourite of mine for a while and still one I reach for on a daily basis. I suffer a little with darker circles under my eyes so a full coverage concealer is always my go to. The concealer is thick and durable and even after a long day at uni my dark circles haven't reappeared. I really just wish the tube was a little bigger and I go through so many!

I've recently spotted they they have a lasting perfection foundation online so I think i'll try that one out soon and see if it's as good as the concealer. Although the Illumination Touch foundation was my favourite i'm still going to try it now and then and see if I can be converted.
