So finally spring has made an appearance and the weather has been in double figures, it shocked me the other day to see that 2 years ago I was at the beach having an ice cream, hopefully i'll be doing that again soon. Anyway this post was originally going to be all spring nails shade but after going through my collection there was just too many to choose from so here is the pastels edition - please expect a spring brights edition soon.
I had this given to me as a gift and new instantly it was a shade for me. It's a chalky purple shade with a hint of grey i'd say. As part of the miracle gel collection, once the top coat has been applied it last quite a while and has a lovey shine to it.
Avon Gel Finish Nail Polish #P806 Dazzle Pink | £7.00
Oh Avon why do you lie, this definitely isn't a pink shade but more of a pastel orange with a shimmer to it. Again another gel finish polish, although it isn't as thick as some of the other gel finishes.
I really love wearing this shade for spring as I find its a little different to a lot of other pastel shades you can get. Its a fresh minty green shade and you get an opaque look after just two coats.
Something a little different from the other more colourful pastel shades, forever is a pastel sort of coffee shade. I can't actually comment on the longevity as the last couple of times i've worn this I ended up only keeping it on for a few days.
I love this soft pink shade as its almost an off white, although I had to paint a good couple of coats to get an opaque look - this means its takes quite a while to dry as its very thick. I've started painting a white coat underneath this polish as its makes the colour appear more and means its opaque in one coat.
I picked up this one in a Topshop sale a couple of years ago and it ended up at the back of my collection for a while. I found it again last year and and its one of those soft yellow pastel shades with tiny white specks in it.
I really love this pale sky blue shade and although you do need a few coats to get an opaque look its a shade I wear a lot. I find with the speedy colours they dry pretty quick but do chip quite easily, I guess you can't have the best of both worlds.
Purples really are one of my favourite spring shades, this is a pastel violet shade with an opaque finish. I find the 60 seconds drying time for this polish a bit of a joke as i've never know any polish to dry in a minute, I would say its more like 10 minutes.
What are your spring nail picks?
xo
I love pastels so much - especially for spring :) Maybelline colour show polishes are great because I find that they have really great opacity especially for the price, great post!
