Now that the stress of my exams is over, I've decided to start digging out some of my old beauty products and make sure to use them instead of my old favourites. I recently posted a pink nail edit (here) but todays post is all about pink lips. When it comes to lipstick i'm a little obsessed and probably don't need any more but that won't be stopping me. Pink has to be one of my favourite colours to wear on the lips as you can go from a vibrant fuchsia to a subtle dusky pink.
I'm a real lover of Topshop lipsticks and find that they are a great alternative to MAC and there is a great selection of shades. Brighton Rock is a bright fuchsia shade with blue undertones and a matte finish.
I picked up this little beauty at Bicester Village so it was at a fraction of the price! Ibiza Pink is probably one of the brightest pink I own and definitely one of the more out there shades. It's a hot pink shade with cool blue undertones. It is creamy in texture with a slight sheen to the finish.
As far as drugstore lipsticks are concerned Seventeen really do get it right. I have a small collection of their Stay Pout lipsticks and they are perfect for everyday use or going out. Kiss Me Quick is a soft candy pink shade with cooler undertones. The lipstick is creamy in texture and leaves lips moisturised with a lovely slick of colour.
I do tend to neglect this shade a little as I don't always wear an 'out' there shade, however, I will be bringing this shade out to play a lot more. Girl About Town is a bright blue fuchsia shade with an amplified finish so it adds that extra pop to your lips.
I have been wearing this shade a lot recently in the winter months for a soft pink shade. Pink Plaid is a dirty, dusky pink shade with soft blue undertones, it also has a matte finish so can be a little drying, although, I have found it to be a lot more creamier and moisturising than some of my other matte shades.
I couldn't complete my pink lipstick collection without including this gorgeous pink balm. Strawberry Shortcake really is as you would expect, its a candy floss pink with cooler undertones and leaves lips with a gleam. I've been wearing this a lot more recently as a day to day colour and it still keeps my lips in great condition.
What are your pink lipstick picks?
