JANUARY FAVOURITES

With my exams over for this term at uni, I finally have some time to get back to blogging and i've had a serious photo taking session, so please expect some new posts over the next few week. Whilst I did put myself on a spending ban in January, it didn't go the best and I ended up purchasing some new products and rediscovered some old favourites this month.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic | £14.50

After beginning my makeup course, i've started to realise how important is it to tone in my skincare routine. This is where the Liz Earle Skin Tonic has re-entered my life. For my course we were require to make sure we had all the products to do a cleanse and tone routine, after searching the back of my stash I found this little beauty again. The Skin Tonic helps remove any residual makeup/dirt that my cleanse didn't remove and tightens up my pores leaving my skin glowing.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream | £70.00

I got this little pot in my CT Book of Makeup Magic last year and hadn't really got the chance to test it out.The Magic Cream was recently released in a full size version after Charlotte worked on it for 20 YEARS - yes you heard, thats almost my whole life. This break-through, multi-tasking product contains a multitude of amazing ingredients to keep your skin looking flawless. My only issue with this is that it is a very greasy, thick formula so can leave your face feeling a little heavy so its best to apply at night.

Bourjois Air Mat Foundation | £9.99

This was one of the few naughty purchases I made this month, but I have been on the hunt for a new drugstore foundation for day-to-day use. It has a non-drying lightweight formula that literally sits on my skin like silk and have amazing staying power. This is the first Bourjois foundation i've tried but i'll definitely be trying out some more in the future.

Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Milk | £11.99

As a self confessed self-tanning addict, I'm always on the hunt for a gradual tanner for the days when I'm not using my usual Cocoa Brown. I heard some pretty good reviews about Bondi Sands before and saw this was on offer in Superdrug around Christmas time. The milky formula leaves my skin feel soft and smooth and have the most gorgeous cocoa butter  scent.

Ardell Demi Wispies Natural Lashes (multipack) | £8.19

Having been a fan of Red Cherry lashes for the past couple of months, i'd heard that these lashes were just as good or even better! I spotted this multipack on amazing and thought it was amazing value of 4 sets of lashes so just had to try. I haven't tried them on yet, but I can already see how good of quality they are and how natural they will sit on my lashes.

Olivia Palermo for Ciate Truffle Lipstick | £19.00 | post

After seeing these lipsticks all over instagram and spotting them in my local TK Maxx I just had to get them at the discounted price. Truffle is a cool toned nude with a smooth velvet finish. I absolutely adore the gold packaging of these lipsticks and they look perfect on my dressing table, hopefully i'll spot some more when I'm next in TK Maxx.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush | £11.99

Yet another old product which i've rediscovered my love for, after being shown in my makeup course how to contour properly for my face shape. This brush is a must after apply my Anastasia Beverly Hills cream contour kit. It blends all the shades seamlessly without the look of any dodgy lines and leaves my face contoured to perfection. I also love how easy this brush is to clean, sometime when I'm using cream based products they tend to stick to the brush and can't even be removed by cleaning but this brush comes up like new every time.

KIKO Mineral Powder | £4.20

I picked this up in the KIKO sale after needing a budget friendly powder and loving the way this felt on my skin after swatching in the store. This powder is a mineral base and sets my makeup lovely, it does have a slight colour to it so it isn't translucent.

What are some of your January favourites?!
