THE CHRISTMAS TAG

Happy Christmas Eve everyone, who is prepared for the jolly fella to arrive tomorrow? I hadn't originally planned to post today as i've scheduled a post for tomorrow but when I read this on Megan Jean's blog, I couldn't resist squeezing this one in. I also thought it would be a great way for you to read a bit more about me. I have used the questions Megan used as they all sounded great, so here we go...

1. What is your favourite Christmas film?

Shamefully I actually haven't watched many christmas films this year yet, blame it on the Pretty Little Liars obsession I currently have (I must watch almost 10 episodes a day!) But some of my favourite are The Holiday, Elf, The Grinch and you can't beat Home Alone!

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

From what I can remember no, but I do recall one year all the weather channels saying we would have a white christmas and then it never actually happened.

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?

We usually spend it at home and have family or friends around for the day, you can't beat being in your own home on christmas day. We actually spent christmas and new year in Jamaica about 5 years ago and it was very weird waking up to 30 degree heat and the beach on christmas day. We've also been to Spain before to visit my grandparents but the weather actually ended being just as bad as England so it wasn't like being abroad at all.

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?

After working at a Winter Wonderland and retail two Christmas' on the trot I actually got slighting sick of christmas songs but you really can't beat them. I love a bit of Mariah, Slade and anything cheesy, although shockingly I'm not a Michael Buble fan.

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

I've been giving pyjamas as presents before on christmas eve but its not a tradition and I'm unsure if i'll be getting any this year.

6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph! So proud of myself now, I actually sing this as a little tune in my head.

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?

Opening my stocking and presents in the morning with all my family, having breakfast and bucks fizz and we always end up playing a board game after dinner, which usually ends up with me and my dad duelling to the death (competitive streak). Me and my mum also always head to the sales after christmas which is always nice.

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

We have a fake one in one room and a real one in another.

9. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?

I love the tins of chocolate you have to buy every christmas, my favourites are Quality Street green triangles but there just never seem to be enough. I also always get a Terry's Chocolate orange in my stocking and they are one of my faves

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

Like most kids when I was younger it was all about receiving presents and the best toys and whilst I still do love receiving gifts I also love giving them. There is no better feeling that finding the perfect present for them and seeing there face when they open it, although this year is slighting on a budget.

11. What is the best Christmas gift you've ever received?

I have been amazingly lucky that my parents always buy me great gifts but one present I always remember is when I was little and got a Barbie Jeep Car. I honestly drove this thing everywhere and it would always run out of battery ages from my house and my dad would have to push it home.

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

Probably anywhere cold in America, in the films it always looks amazing and you probably have more chance of a white christmas there than the UK.

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I don't think I'm too bad and I do love find cute wrapping paper and bows! It does get slightly tedious though when I have to wrap my own and my dads presents for my mum.

14. Most memorable Holiday moment?

I can't actually think of just one memorable moment but it's always great when all my family get together.

15. What made you realize the truth about Santa?

I don't think my parents ever told me the truth I think I just kind of realised and I also remember once walking in on my mum wrapping a gift for me and it just sort of clicked.

16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?

I don't normally make particular ones its normally to just get back into the gym and healthy eating after the festive season - this is a must this year. Although this year I'm planning to write a blog post about my goals for 2016 and then hopefully I can look back at the end of year to see if I've achieved them.

17. What makes the holidays special for you?

I just generally feel like its such a happy time of year and everyone gets together with their families. I also love all of the decorations and can't wait to have my own house to decorate it myself.

Thanks to Megan again for the inspiration behind this post and let me know if you answer the questions as well!
