MAC are always a winner for me when they release a limited edition collection, Cinderella has definitely been a favourite of mine so far (review here), however, the Magic of the Night collection may steal my heart. MAC have released this collection to link with the upcoming Christmas holidays and it has the perfect selection of products to help you get ready for an enchanted evening. The collection in includes eyeshadows, lipsticks, eyeliners, highlighters and lipliners all packaging in the most decadent metallic packaging.
My mum came down to visit me at university this week and whilst we were shopping she treated me to a lipstick from the new collection. In all honesty I could have picked out multiple items from the collection if my mum didn't hold me back. What I love about the lipsticks is the gorgeous metallic purple bullet. The Magic of the Night lipstick collection included four wintery pink, red and purple shades.
The shade I was instantly drawn to is Evening Rendezvous, recently i've been loving wearing a purple lip as I find that it creates a bit of a different look without being too out there. Some of my favourite purples have been MAC's Men Love Mystery and Sleeks Mystic, both of these are a brighter purple than Evening Rendezvous. On the MAC website it is described as a Deep Reddish Purple, I have found it to be more of a musky violet shade. Evening Rendezvous has a matte finish so it can slightly drying but I always apply a balm underneath to keep my lip moisturised.
The Magic of the Night collection is definitely the perfect selection for christmas and the Shaft of Gold Highlighter needs to be added to my collection immediately.

This is such lovely shade of lipstick! It seems so perfect for the colder months and I love how the shade is quite nude too, as it makes purple more wearable. The packaging is gorgeous too :) x

ReplyDeleteI've ordered the exact same lipstick and I'm just waiting for it to arrive now. I did order the highlighter in shaft of gold but I didn't like the shade and the actual packaging felt like plastic so I returned it, I hope the lipstick's packaging is different xx
