THE GLAMOUR BEAUTY POWER LIST 2015

I have a love/hate relationship with beauty boxes...I've tried out quite a few and I either love all of the products or they are something I would never buy or even use. However, I've read quite a few reviews of the Glamour versions before and the product selection always seems great - I also love that you can see the products before you buy, so if they aren't something you'd use you don't have to buy. The Glamour box retails for £18.99 (+P&P) and this months you get products to the value of over £90.

This box has been compiled by Glamour's Beauty Director, Alessandra Steinherr, to include 8 of the most hardworking products from the 2015 power list. With this box all of the products are ones i'd either heard of before or something I would definitely use myself - so worth the money! The box contains a mix of beauty, skincare and haircare.

Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream | I recently blogged about my night time skin care routine (here), so when I saw this I was happy to be able to mix up my routine and try out a new product. This Garnier cream helps promote beautiful skin with minimal effort and keeps skin hydrated and reduces tired looking skin. Although at the age of 21 i'm not particularly into anti-ageing creams, its always good to start early so my skin looks youthful for longer.

KIKO Velvet Touch Creamy Blush Stick | KIKO is a brand i've recently discovered and you can ready my previous haul post here, so I was happy to see that they had been included in this months box. I've never actually used a blusher stick before as I've always thought that they wouldn't blend as easily as a powder blush or would smear my makeup underneath. The formulation of this KIKO version is so creamy and blends really well. I got the shade Coral Rose (03) which is a gorgeous rosy pink shade.

Vita Liberate Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask | Being a self confessed fake tan addict, having bronzed skin is important to me. I always find it hard to get the best face tanner, they can either be too orange and leave an uneven colour or will dry my face out. This Vita Liberata mask delivers superior moisture and gradually builds a natural looking tan. I've heard some great reviews about Vita Liberata so i'm excited to finally be trying their products and think it could start an obsession.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick | This new lipstick from Revlon is wax free high-definition gel technology which allows for true colour clarity in one smooth coat. The formula is very moisturising so kind to those chapped lips from the cold weather. I got the shade Gladiolus, which is vibrant red shade with berry undertones.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish | I've been a big fan of Rimmel nail polished for a while and the 60 seconds polishes are great for an impatient person like me! I got the shade Lose You Lingerie, its a pearlescent pale pink shade and the formula is quite thick and opaque compared to other similar shades I have. I was a little disappointed when my box had arrived as I was hoping for the Rita Ora shade Sweet Retreat.

Eyeko Mascaras | I've used the Eyeko eyeliner before and was very impressed to happy to see this included in the box. I got the Black Magic shade, which I would definitely use more than the Midnight Blue shade that was the other option. This mascara takes your lashes from subtly sexy to boldly beautiful and the curve is long-lasting.

Philip Kingsley Geranium & Neroli Elasticizer | I've seen this product floating round the blogging community for a while now and heard that its a cult treatment for dry/damaged hair. Having highlighted hair which I style a lot with straighteners, i'm always looking for products to help bring my hair back to life. This product promises to revive damaged hair and strengthens it for the long term so I can't wait to try it out.

Nails Inc Nailkale Superfood Base Coat | There seems to be so many Kale beauty products floating round the beauty world at the moment, i'm guessing the Kale eating trends has now transferred to the beauty world. I would have never thought of having kale as part of my nail treatments so well done Nails Inc! The kale extract strengthens nails back to health and encourages them to grow faster!

What are your thoughts on this beauty box?

  1. This looks like an amazing box! I was really into beauty boxes last year but I have managed to stay away from those for the majority of this year. I found it frustrating how some products repeated in boxed and being stuck with too many unwanted things. However, I may have to make an exception for this one :P

  2. Such a great box! I was so tempted but I have one of the Revlon lipsticks already and was scared of getting a blue mascara! I was good for once and didn't buy!
