MY TOP 5 MASCARAS

For me, mascara is what brings my whole makeup of the day together. During the week on my eyes I only wear mascara so its important to me to have an amazing mascara. My collection of mascara is probably the biggest out of every other product and i'm alway adding others. Between drugstore and high end their seems to be so many to try, each promising to either lengthen, volumise and transform your lashes. Here is a quick overview of the 5 I am always reaching for...

Too Faced - Better Than Sex | I picked this one up in New York so you can read a small review herei'd been on the look out for a new high end mascara for a while and when I saw this in Sephora I thought it had to be good - just look at the name! The brush is bristles rather than rubber which is my preference, it has an hourglass shape to it which is something i've not seen before and separates, coats and curls each lash to perfection. The formula contains collagen which help stretch and lengthen lashes leaving you with that false lash effect. With this one I only need a few coats and my lashes are left looking full and volumised.

Benefit - They're Real | Being the No1 best selling mascara this is going to be good! It was the first Benefit product I picked out years ago after reading about how great it was and its been one of those mascaras I always go back to. When I first picked it out I was sceptical it was going to good as everyone says as i'm not always keen on rubber brushes, I find that they don't seem to coat my lashes enough. However, They're Real completely changed my perception, this one coats every lash and separates them leaving them looking full and lifted.

YSL - Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara | I picked this one up in a duo from duty free with Touche Éclat and had no expectations of it being amazing - I only bought the duo as it was such an amazing deal. With this one you get a flash lash effect in just one stroke, this modern classic has a remastered formula containing more care ingredients leaving lashes flexible, lengthened and supple. The smell of this is also gorgeous, I've never taken notice of the smell of mascara before but this one is fresh and fruity. The only downside I find with this one is that a lot of the product comes out on the brush and so can go on quite heavy unless to wipe it off.

Maybelline - Lash Sensational | If you've been reading my blog for a while you will have read my previous review (available here). I won't go into too much detail as you can read my previous review but this mascara really is 'Sensational'. If you love Benefit Roller Lash but not the price tag you need to try this one out. They both have a curved wand to help lift and curl your lashes and I would say the formula of this one isn't as dry as roller lash.

Smashbox - Full Exposure | Their new studio tested mascara contains lengthening fibres and a volumising formula for maximum-impact lashes. I find this one to be very similar to Better Than Sex, obviously the brush is more of a cone design and the formula is a little dryer. I have found this is the perfect mascara to use when I'm wearing false lashes, it glides on smoothly and doesn't cling to the false lashes which can sometimes pull them out. My tube of this is coming to the end of its life so it will be on my christmas list this year.

If you're looking to try out a new mascara these would definitely be the ones i'd recommend, I've included a mix of drugstore and high end as I think they all have their bonuses.

Do any of you use these mascaras?
