Now I'm back from Thailand I'm excited to get back to regular blogging and for my first beauty related post I want to bring you my summer shopping experience at Heathrow - you can read my Heathrow wish list post here. If you read the post you'll know that I was asked by Heathrow to review their summer shopping experience and try out one of their free beauty treatments, which was a nice little pamper treat before I went travelling. I also picked up a few bits from duty free, as I can't resist a few good deals on the products I've been lusting over.
I flew from Heathrow Terminal 4 and they have a wide range of beauty services available at World Duty Free for you to choose from, you can view all the details here. I chose the highlight and contour service from Estée Lauder as this is one of my favourite brands and I've never tried out their contouring products so was intrigued to see what they had to offer. I already had makeup applied for the day so the beauty adviser applied it on top. She used the Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB for the highlight and applied this to the centre of my forehead, underneath my eyebrows and the apples of my cheeks. She then applied Bronze Goddess round the edges of my face for the contour in a '3' shape. The lady at the counter also revealed that Estée Lauder were also bringing out their own contour kit and I've checked out their website and its available here. Its definitely a product I can't wait to check out.
Whilst I was shopping at the airport I managed to pick up a few items from my wish list and some extras. The first item on my wish list and the one I picked up first was YSL Touche Éclat and I picked this one out in a duo with the Luxurious Mascara for False Lash Effect and I'm in love. I tried it for the first time the other day and the effect was amazing, my lashes were full and long after just a few coats.
The OPI Hawaii Mini Collection was also on my list and when I saw this set at the tills I had to have it. Even since I saw the Hawaii collection I've been lusting over the pastel pink and green from the collection, I'm more sad that I got the shades now that summer is coming to the end. In the set there is also some vibrant red and purple shades and a gorgeous shimmery ocean blue colour. I also picked up Benefit Puff Off which was on my list, I've used this a few times since I've been back off holiday to help my tired eyes and it definitely brightens them up.
Whilst in the airport I couldn't resist adding another Chanel lipstick to my collection, the one I originally had is more of a balm (you can read my review here). This time I went for Luminous Intense Lip Colour for a bright pop of colour and I opted for the shade Insaisissable, its a gorgeous vibrant coral shade. I also love the way this lipstick opens, the gold tube pops out of the sleek black case. Whilst paying for my items I also picked up an L'Occitane Néroli & Orchidée Hand Cream, it smelt so delicious I had to try it out.
When going on holiday I love starting it off with a duty free shopping spree and now that I know about the free beauty services you can get, I will definitely be taking advantage when I next go away. If you're heading off on holiday from Heathrow soon you can view the summer offers here.
