So Wednesday was National Lipstick Day and its probably one of the best days I've heard of - minus National Donut Day when I got a free donut in New York. I had originally planned for this post to go out on Wednesday but I've been really busy with my last week of work and didn't get round to writing it; reality really hasn't hit that I'm an unemployed student again!
Lipstick is one of my favourite beauty products as its can really change your look and boost your mood (give a woman red lipstick and she can conquer the world!).

To celebrate a belated National Lipstick Day I wanted to show you some of my favourite drug store lipsticks. The Kate Moss for Rimmel lasting finish lipsticks have been in my beauty collection for years now and i'm always picking up other shades to add to my collection. There is such a great selection of colours and finishes they have even just created a Nude Collection with 5 new shades (I need to pick up the shade 45). There is 18 shades in the Lasting Finish collection and 4 Matte finish ones, plus the 5 new nude shades, so there is pretty much a colour for everyone.
Since summer is now fully underway and I head to Thailand in less than two weeks (eeekk!!), I've picked out three of my favourite brighter shades and the ones I will probably be taking away with me (i'm not prepared to lose one of my MAC lipsticks whilst I'm away).
These lipsticks are some of my favourites, the formula is rich and creamy and the pigmentation is amazing. These are probably in my top 3 favourite brands for lipsticks - third to my MAC and Topshop collections.
#35 - this is new shade they released for Spring 2015 and it's the perfect bubblegum pink shade, I've been wearing this one paired with a pink lipgloss and looks lovely for a daytime look.
#32 - I picked this shade out thinking it was a pale nude shade (i'm blaming Boots bright lights) and when I got it home discovered it was more of a peachy, orange shade. Now since I've been wearing it more its become a favourite. I have found that this one works really well for me with a tan and with my blonde hair.
#36 - this is another new shade for 2015 and its a gorgeous fuchsia pink shade, I got this one given to me as a gift and will definitely get a lot of wear out of it as I love to rock a hot pink lip.
Do any of you use these lipsticks? What are your favourite shades?
xo
