THE HOLIDAY MAKEUP BAG EDIT

Since I'm currently on holiday I want to bring to you some of my holiday makeup favourites that will be taken on my travels with me. I always find that holiday makeup is a lot more relaxed and easy, mostly due to the fact that I don't want to waste an expensive foundation for it to slide down my face in the heat. I also keep my makeup minimal on holiday as I like to show off my tan and not hide it with a lot of makeup. As I'm travelling around for three weeks I'm only going to be taking drugstore makeup incase any of it gets lost.

Once I have a tan I love to keep my face glowing with some subtle make up. I've been loving MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter in Gold, it adds such a lovely glow to your skin and its great for contouring or strobing. A recent favourite of mine is this SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Skin WOW Tan, I apply this to the face before foundation to add a glow or wear it on its own. I think this will be used a lot on holiday as I prefer not to wear foundation so this will be great once I have a tan. Its basically a liquid highlighter but in a bronze shade rather that a silver shade.

Whilst I'm away I am taking a light coverage foundation with me but I will mostly use a tinted moisturiser to ensure my skin doesn't dry out. I've had this Nivea Tinted Moisturising Day Cream for a while and it seems to have fallen to the back of my makeup collection. When picking out my travelling makeup I opted for this one over my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser incase I lost it. This moisturiser adds subtle colour to your face an doesn't feel at all heavy. When applying my makeup in the humid evenings I like to keep it simple but ensure that all my makeup is blended evenly, this is where the Beauty Blender comes in. I usually apply my foundation with a brush but I love to go over it with a sponge to ensure I'm not at all streaky.

In the hot heat I also tend to suffer with dry and chapped lips, I always take away with me a lip balm with SPF as some balms tend to cause my lips to burn rather than keep them protected. When I'm not sat in the sun my EOS lip balm won't be far from my side to help keep my lips hydrated from the heat.

When in the heat I often find that my makeup can end up looking shiny and my face a sweaty mess (not a good look), I like to carry around with me a blotting powder to reduce the shininess. Recently I've been trying out the Makeup Revolution Pressed Powder in translucent, I always opt for a translucent shade as I prefer my powder to reduce shine and set my makeup rather than add any colour. I'm hoping i'll come back from Thailand with lovely bronzed skin but to ensure that I still have a lovely glow I'll be taking with me my Bourjois Délice de Poudre. I love this bronzer for the gorgeous chocolate scent and the shade is very similar to Benefit's Hoola bronzer.

What are some of your holiday makeup favourites?
