THE BALM | MARY-LOU MANIZER

Here is another beauty product I picked up whilst I was in New York and is definitely one of my favourite products at the moment. I've been keen to try out the Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm for a while now as I've read a lot of bloggers rave about this powder highlighter. Every time I've gone to buy it in the UK it seems to be sold out, so when I saw this was the last one in stock at 

Duane Reade I thought of it as fate. It's priced at $24.00 in the US so it only works out to be a little cheaper over there compared to the UK.

This is the first products I've tried out from The Balm, but there whole collection has the cutest packaging and I love the names, so I definitely want to try out some of the other products.

I'm a massive fan of highlighters/illuminators and have tried out a whole range powder and liquid ones, I love playing around with different shades of highlighters and find that they can really help define the shape of my face. I have found my favourite shades to be champagnes and pinks as I find that bronze shades don't provide me with enough definition.

The Mary-Lou Manizer is a gorgeous shimmery champagne shade that really catches the light on your face. The texture of the powder is really smooth and well pigmented, you don't need to apply loads for it to be seen. It provides you with just enough shimmer to help diffuse light to make your skin looking softer and glowy, it also doesn't have too much shimmer so you don't look like you applied a shed load of glitter to your face!
