SUMMER NAIL COLOURS

One of my most popular blog posts to date has been my favourite Summer lip colours (you can read it here), so I wanted to post my top summer nail colours. Nail colours is something that I love to experiment with and especially in the summer when bright shades are much more appropriate. Here are my top summer nail picks...

MUA Nail Polish in Pistachio Ice Cream (£1) - If you've read my blog before you'll know that MUA is one of my favourite drug store beauty brands for the the large range of products and prices. I have a few different shades from their nail polish selection but this mint green shade has become a firm favourite. I love this as its something a little different but isn't too bright and can be suitable for everyday life.

RickyColor in Citibike Station Full - This is a shade I picked up in New York from the beauty store Ricky's, I don't think its readily available in the UK but I had to include it as it's my new favourite shade! Since I've been back from NY I've been wearing this shade pretty much none stop as I love the brightness of it and it looks amazing when I've tanned. I also love the New York twist on the name and its a constant reminder of the amazing time I had there!

Barry M Speedy in Eat My Dust (£3.99) - This is a colours I've blogger about before (post here), but its still a shade I love to wear. In the summer months I like to mix my nails colours between bright and pastel shades, also depending on the outfit I'm wearing. This blue is lovely colour for summer as it's a sky blue shade, especially with this nice weather we've been having.

Barry M Matte in Miami Pink (£3.99) - During summer I think one of the nicest shades to were is a simple pink and this one is perfect. The matte effect of this one is also something different, but if I'm not feeling the matte effect I can just add clear top coat.

Models Own Polish for Tans in Beach Bag (£4.99) - This is another shade I've blogged about previously and its another one I wear all summer. The whole collection Models Own do for Tans is gorgeous but this orangey coral shade is a firm favourite. This neon shade is a little different as its a pastel colour with a hint of neon, so its not too bright but still adds a pop of colour!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in All Chalked Up (£9.99) - This pastel shade is another favourite of mine, the chalky purple colour is a colour that can be worn all year round but especially love for the summer. I love wearing white nails and this one is very similar to white but with a purple tint. The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is one of the best gel varnishes I've tried and have great staying power and doesn't chip.
