I've only been a blogger for about 6 months but it has been one of the best decisions over ever made. So I wanted to share with you all some of my favourite things about being a blogger...
Discovering new products/brands - Since I started blogging I've started reading more and more blogs, which has lead to me discovering and trying our new products/brands. When I'm looking to purchase a new beauty product the first place I look for assistance is the blogging community, i'll google reviews or look for advice on twitter/instagram and end up with a selection of options. Through doing this i'll have products recommended to me that I had never heard of before and can end up being firm favourites.
Meeting/speaking to other bloggers - I'm still yet to go to any blogging events and meet any other bloggers in person, but I love chatting to others on Twitter and Instagram. I also love seeing all the Twitter chats with other bloggers, I have yet to actually get properly involved in one as my evenings always end up being so busy either seeing my boyfriend, going to the gym or working later. However, it is something I am keen to try and get more involved in. I am planning to attend the Bloggers Festival in September and the Beauty Blogger Awards in October, so if any of you are attending either of these let me know!!
An excuse to try out new beauty products - Before I started blogging if I bought 4 new mascaras in a week, as they were new out and i'd heard they were amazing, I sometimes felt a twang of guilt - does anyone really need 4 new mascaras in one week?! Now that I started blogging I feel a lot less guilty about buying new beauty products as I have the added bonus of being able to blog about them. Although, personally I would never go out and buy a new beauty product specifically for the reason of blogging about it, I only blog about my favourite products or ones I really believe in.
A creative outlet - This is one of the main reasons why I love blogging as I can take myself off into my own little world and write about something I enjoy and am passionate about. I have also found that with blogging if I'm ever feeling down or just want to get away I can get my laptop and start writing a blog post or read other people blog posts. I never really had a main hobby before I started blogging and now this is one that I love and can fit in around all the rest of my life!
Learning new tips & tricks - One of my favourite type of posts to read is about tips & tricks for becoming a better blogger. I love learning tips about how to edit photos and must have downloaded at least 10 apps for it. Whilst my iPhone 6 photos will never match those of bloggers with £600 cameras, I am finding that my photography is improving. Can any of you recommend some good photography apps? I have also seen from the Twitter chats great advice about all aspects from blogging and how to help improve your blog on all levels.
So there you have it! Some of my favourite things about blogging! What are some of yours?!

Cool post! I totally agree with you. I started my blog in december last year. I've had my ups and downs, in my first months it was a great surprise that I got so many comment's and followers, Now its a bit harder but that oke. Thats not why I created my blog in the first place. ( But is surprised my that people were interested in my blog in the first place). I've had a writing block... ect. Something I did not expect was the contact with other bloggers, the giant community were in and how much fun it is to meet people that genuinely are interested in the same things. I haven't been to a blogging event yet but I would love to go someday. I really like your blog

Couldn't agree more with your post, especially the part about meeting and talking to new bloggers. Everyone is just so supportive of one another. It's great! The Twitter chats are a bit hard to work into a schedule, but they're great if you have time for them. I'm usually in the BBloggers chat at 8, Weds.
