MAYBELLINE | LASH SENSATIONAL

After reading lots of positive reviews on the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara, I picked it up a couple of weeks and I'm now in love. I normally go for Benefit They're Real or Roller Lash (previous blog post here), but I have to say this is one of the best dupes for the Roller Lash that I have found. I actually prefer this to the Roller Lash, although I'm still using my sample size of Roller Lash which is now almost finished so I'm keen to purchase the full size one.

The plastic curved wand of Lash Sensation is pretty much identical to that of Roller Lash, the only difference is that the Maybelline version has a slightly thicker wand. I have found that with the thicker wand my lashes get coated quicker and there is a thicker consistency, giving me a more dramatic look.

As you can see the mascara has elongated, separated and given my lashes volume. In the above picture I had only used a few coats of the Lash Sensational, whereas before I would be using 2-3 different mascaras to achieve this look. Also, I was reasonably surprised at home much volume I got with a plastic wand as I usually prefer a brush rather than plastic.

The only downfall I have found with this mascara is that it could be a little too wet and end up looking clumpy, so I always try and get the excess off the brush before applying.
