When I heard MAC were launching a Cinderella collection to go along with Disney's release of the new Cinderella film, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of the collection!
I must have been one of the lucky ones who managed to place an order on MAC when it launched on March 6th, as it sold out online within minutes! It launched in stores on March 13th, however I haven't been in a MAC store since then to see if they still have stock left.
I could have bought the entire collection if my bank balance would allow me, instead I just opted for the Stroke of Midnight eye shadow pallet, the lipstick in Royal Ball and the Cinderella iridescent powder. I am a little gutted I didn't order the lipglasses as well when they were still in stock!
I absolutely love the packaging, it is pastel blue pearlescent in line with the Cinderella theme with a chrome gold accents. The names of the products are also perfect for the collection, along with the ones I have bought there is also a lipstick called Free as a Butterfly and lipglasses in Glass Slipper & Happily Ever After.
Here is my take on the products I managed to get my hands on:
Shades top-bottom: Vapour, Phloof!, Omega, Quarry, Satin Taupe, Stroke of Midnight
I wasn't originally going to purchase this palette as I thought the shades were a lot similar to other palettes I already had but I'm glad I did. The palette is a mixture of soft browns and champagnes with a sparkle-flecked black Stroke of Midnight shade which is a special edition for the collection! I created the above look as a more subtle daytime smokey eye, I used the shades Phloof! and Satin Taupe and lined the edge of my eyelid with Stroke of Midnight! I'm really excited to try out some different looks for both daytime and nighttime with the palette!
This shade is a sweet nude/pink hue with a shimmery finish. When I first tried the lipstick out it was a lot more pale than I had expected, however it has now since grown on me and it looks great with a smokey eye to tone down the look.
This my favourite purchase from the collection, its a soft coral shade that leaves you with a shimmering sheen. It works great both as a blush and a highlighter and will look great in the summer with a tan. This product could come across to shimmery if its over applied, so I try to just get the smallest amount on my brush! This will also be a bonus as the blush will last even longer!
I hope you enjoyed ready about my new beauty loves! Did any of you manage to get your hands on any of the collection?
Love
