Other than writing my own blog posts, one thing I love about blogging is reading blogs and connecting with other bloggers. Before I started blogging I didn't realise how close knit but friendly the blogging community is and i've had the chance to connect with some amazing bloggers online and at events. Evening everybody, I hope everyone has had an amazing christmas and eaten lots (I definitely have)! This year I've received some amazing presents off my parents, family and boyfriend and I'm so grateful for it all. Me and boyfriend didn't go mad with each this year, partly due to the fact I'm not working full time any more, but one of the gifts he did get me was the Zoeva Luxury Rose Gold Brush Set. I'd been lusting over this set for months now after seeing it on blogs and instagram all the time and just had to have it.

FESTIVE MAKEUP

Merry Christmas everybody and I hope you are all having a wonderful day whatever your doing! I actually scheduled this post a few days ago so don't worry I'm not blogging on christmas day! I actually love the festive season, not only for the all the lights, decorations and happy feelings but also how you can vamp up you makeup routine a little - glittery eyeshadows, shimmery highlighters and lashings of lipstick. Happy Christmas Eve everyone, who is prepared for the jolly fella to arrive tomorrow? I hadn't originally planned to post today as i've scheduled a post for tomorrow but when I read this on Megan Jean's blog, I couldn't resist squeezing this one in. I also thought it would be a great way for you to read a bit more about me. I have used the questions Megan used as they all sounded great, so here we go...

TOP 10 OF 2015 | DRUGSTORE

A  couple of days ago I posted my top 10 of 2015 highend edition, with some absolutely bank busting beauties, so here is my more affordable selection of top products from 2015. Whilst I do love splurging on high end products you really can't go wrong with drugstore and sometimes the products can be just as good at high end.

THE PERFECT COMBINATION | LIPS & NAILS

If there is two things I love its a lipstick and nail varnish and what better way that to combine my two love than a matching lip and nail. Since we are in the festive season I decided to opt for some wintery pinks, purples and reds that are perfect to rock this season.

2015 - what a great year of beauty releases! This year my beauty collection has almost certainly quadrupled in size, partly because I was working full time and had the money but also because of blogging (I mean buying a product because its perfect for my blog is an acceptable reason right?!) There have been countless high end products that have caught my eye this year and made their way into my collection, here are my top 10.

WINTER BLUSHERS

In the dark winter months and the icy temperatures one thing I like to warm up my makeup with is blusher. During winter I tend to opt for warmer pinks and bronze shades to keep my cheeks looking rosy and flushed. Also, with the christmas party season upon us your look wouldn't be complete without that flush of blush, so here are my top winter blush picks.

GET THAT THE WINTER GLOW

With winter well and truly here, one thing I'm missing is that glow you get in summer. With it being dark at 4pm and probably only a couple of hours of the sun actually being out, getting that glow is an important park of my makeup routine. Unlike a lot of people I tend to stick to similar highlight and bronze shades all year round - blame it on the constant fake tan I have going on! The only thing I do switch up in Winter is opting for powder shades over cream, I find they blend easier and I don't always want a dewy finish in the cold season. Here are my top picks for getting that winter glow.

Hi Girls, how is everyone doing? So tomorrow is my last day of this term at uni and on Saturday i'll be heading home for Christmas. HOW I CLEAN MY MAKEUP BRUSHES | BORN PRETTY STORE REVIEW

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about some products I received from the lovely people at Born Pretty Store. Now I have luckily been asked to review some more products for you. When I got asked to review some more products one of the first I picked out was a brush cleaner. One of the most annoying jobs I find is cleaning my brushes and its seems to be an never ending task. Having well over 30 brushes means that it can take over an hour - time I could be spending on other things.

WINTER LIPCARE SAVIOURS

Has everyone noticed how cold it's gotten recently?! In the cold weather I always up my beauty regime as the cold seems to dry out my skin, lips and even my hair. I actually suffer quite bad with sore and chapped lips all yeah round but in the winter they get quite bad. Since I suffer with dry lips I have built up quite a collection of products to keep them soft and moisturised, and pretty much have a product in every different bag and place in my room. For me the Balm is one of those brands I tend to forget about and then i'll buy a product from them I remember just how good they are! With their adorable packaging, cute names and affordable prices what's not to love?! I spotted this eyeshadow palette on Amazon recently and it was a little cheaper than the shops so I took the plunge and bought it. In the winter months I tend to use a lot of golds, nudes and browns so I knew i'd get a lot of use out of it.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY HAUL

For my birthday a couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be treated by my boyfriend to some Charlotte Tilbury products. I've been after some for a while now but my poor student bank account just couldn't handle it (cries!). If you really are after one high end brand, this would be the one, with the rose gold packaging and gorgeous selection of products - it's a must buy!! I recently lost my Charlotte Tilbury virginity when my boyfriend bought me some products i'd be lusting over for my birthday, then I got one of the best surprises from my parents - The Book Of Makeup Magic! H&M BEAUTY HAUL

Unless you've been hibernating or living under a rock you will be well aware that H&M have recently relaunched their beauty line and its something pretty special! H&M have had their own range of beauty for a good few years, from what I can't remember, but its never really been anything to shout about, now with this relaunch its definitely something to talk about. After reading many reviews from bloggers all over the country, gasping at the beauty of this range I went on the hunt to get my hands on some of the products. 

MAKEUP REVOLUTION | UNICORNS UNITE LIPSTICKS

When you combine Unicorns and Makeup you definitely catch my eye - yes i'm still obsessed with Unicorns at 21 years old! I've been really loving Makeup Revolution lately, their vast collection of products and dupes for some high end bank breakers have been taking the beauty world by storm and the affordable prices too. I thought I would treat myself to some makeup revolution products recently and there was also the added bonus that you got £30 worth of makeup free when you spent £30. These 5 lipsticks were added straight to my basket and I got them all for £4 - thats 80p a lipstick!!

So my blog had been up and running for about 8 months know and its definitely been a learning curve but i've been loving every minute of it. Recently i've been trying to use more of my existing makeup rather than buying new stuff and this led to me rediscovering this beauty. I only bought this about 6 months ago and used it all the time, then I tidied up my makeup storage and it ended up in a box with the rest of my palettes. I have a real bad habit of only using my makeup that I have easy access to and this led to me neglecting this palette.

THE GLAMOUR BEAUTY POWER LIST 2015

I have a love/hate relationship with beauty boxes...I've tried out quite a few and I either love all of the products or they are something I would never buy or even use. However, I've read quite a few reviews of the Glamour versions before and the product selection always seems great - I also love that you can see the products before you buy, so if they aren't something you'd use you don't have to buy. The Glamour box retails for £18.99 (+P&P) and this months you get products to the value of over £90.

NIGHT TIME SKINCARE ROUTINE

When it comes to skincare I don't focus on it as much as I should, but recently I am trying out a lot more skincare products. My night time skin care routine is a little more in-depth that the morning, this is mainly because I'm not rushing in the evening. Also I find you can use more products in the evening as my face can breath whilst I'm asleep and makeup free. So here is the steps on my night time skin care routine...

SOAP & GLORY | SEXY MOTHER PUCKER MATTE LIPSTICK

I picked up this little beauty along with the Revlon nail polishes in my previous post (here), when I was supposed to not be shopping! My housemate already has this lipstick and the colour looks really gorgeous and is so wearable, so it was a must buy.

REVLON | PARFUMERIE SCENTED NAIL POLISH

On a recent trip to Boots i'd promised myself I wouldn't be buying any beauty products as there was nothing I really needed or wanted from there. I actually made it round almost all of the shop before stumbling on the Revlon nail stand near the till. I have a couple of Revlon Nail polishes already and the quality and wear of them is great and long-lasting. 

FACE OF THE DAY | DRUGSTORE EDIT

In my beauty stash you'll find a mixture between high end and drug store. Personally I think you can't really go wrong with drugstore makeup and there is some great high end dupes out there - also now I'm a student again I don't think i'll be spending £30+ on a foundation any time soon! I can spend hours trawling through Boots and Superdrug looking at all the products and you can always get amazing deals like 3 for 2 or free gifts with a purchase. So today I want to bring to you a complete face of the day using only drugstore products.
